    poor @moog5050 , those high population numbers can be such an inconvenience. OK, I am considering expanding my food plots from 1/2 acre to 1 acre each. I was thinking of planting the soybeans in the half acre closer to the tree stand and the brassicas in the half acre farther away. (I want the deer closer for bow season, farther away for gun season. Any thoughts on how thus planting approach would would work as compared to mixing them on top of each other? I could then target a different planting date for the brassicas if need be.

    So, plant the soybean seeds and the brassica seeds at the same time/same day? Would the soybean innoculant affect the brassica seeds in any way?

    I retract my above statement. While no aging will occur while frozen, aging can occur on previously frozen meat. There will be a slightly greater loss of moisture and some relative mushiness to the meat, but it will be just as tender, notwithstanding having been frozen.     My understanding is that once the meat has been frozen, the enzymes that break down the tissue no longer work. You should just let it defrost enough for you to trim, cut, grind, etc at this point.

    That's the rub. I took a closer look at the reviews, and these mesh seats don't fold up, so you can't lean against the tree, and the area for your feet is small. I assume that was a way for the manufacturer to cut weight and cost. Some reviews state that as long as you are not a bow hunter (which I'm not), it's not a big deal. I bought 3. I guess at this point I will set one up next year and see how I like it. I will admit, it did get a lot of good reviews on various websites, so I'm hopeful it will work out.

    I don't know how many new signups the board gets at this time of year, but a temporary freeze, or a temporary ban on posting privileges for new users, might be helpful in this situation.

    Could you buy it online and have it shipped to an Erie county FFL? Might be worth it to save on the time and gas. Or maybe try to get a Cabela's to price match.

    I know I am repeating myself, but I figure I'll try again this year. Has anyone lately/ever hunted in the Ithaca DMFA and/or on Cornell land? @OtiscoPaul ? @SteveB ? @squirrelwhisperer ? @Northsox65 ? @Hunter_NY ? Love to hear some real world experiences from those who have done it.
