call me Mr. Obvious, but can you or the ffl inspect the gun before you send him the payment? you never know...

My 30 y.o. stepson is an Eagle Scout and it sounds like he got taught the basics like you did. I was a Cub Scout and never made it past Weiblo. (spelling?) Trying to make up for my misspent youth.

I'm currently talking a wilderness survival class and have been learning a lot about survival, bushcraft, primitive methods, etc. I don't have the patience to watch the TV shows, but do watch some topic specific ewe tube videos and read a lot. Not familiar with this guy; interesting.

maybe try a flap disk on an angle grinder?

That's not the reason the lady gave as to why they were keeping half of the security deposit. And if it were, there are procedures to document and communicate that to the tenant. There is nothing indicated in the OP to sugget that the condition of the apartment was an issue. Your "probably . . ." and "if . . ." statements are purely speculation in this particularly situation, not that things like that never happen.

WTB Temporary Handicap Ramp
goosifer replied to Moho81's topic in Non Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
every once in a while I see one on craigslist in the free section. For example, this one is still live https://buffalo.craigslist.org/zip/d/free-wood-wheelchair-ramp/6547454149.html I have also seen companies that rent or sell metal ones. If you are handy and can build a deck, the home improvement stores are starting to push their deck boards for summer. You just need to follow the guidelines for slope, max length of a run, min width, etc. You may need a permit. If it is built unattached to the house, I think you don't need a permit. You can use the trapezoid shaped concrete deck support blocks instead of sinking posts into the ground. I can dig up more info on the guidelines if you want. What is your nearest major town/county? -
Wolc, battery tools have come a long way. If you get a brushless tool with a 4 amp lithium ion battery, it will be powerful and run for a while. They even have small miter saws that can be run on batteries. You should check them out. Sometimes they will have a demo model at h0me dep0t to test in a wood board.

Thanks, G-Man. The Kioti CK310 is rated at 11.7 gpm with no breakout for power steering, and the Kubota L3301 is listed at 6.8 gpm (main) and 4.3 gpm (PS) for 11.1 total gpm. Really think that difference in gpm could account for the difference in lifting capacity? I was also going to check out the size of the cylinders on the loaders. The Kioti salesperson suggested that was the reason. As an aside, interesting experience talking to different salespeople. Some guys are willing to work with you and answer questions, others make it clear you are wasting their time.
-
not to thread hijack, but let me share my tractor shopping experience thus far. looking at mid 30 hp tractor. The Kioti is $1,500 less, bu if if I want a 3rd function valve kit so I can use a claw grapple on the front loader, the Kioti is only $300 less. Also, I need to reconcile/figure out why the Kioti can lift 1,835 with the front loader vs. only 1,134 for the Kubota.
-
WNYBH, what other tractors did you consider in your search? Why did you choose Kioti? I am looking for a tractor (low 30's hp). Was leaning towards Kubota, but now considering Kioti as the latter has a higher front loader lift capacity. Thanks.

I have a commercial Kohler, bit more expensive than a Generac, but very happy with it. See http://www.kohlergenerators.com/home/home-generators/selector#your-home for sizing. Is your regular heat electric or gas fuel? It looks like they now make residential versions that look more like a Generac than their commercial models. I have no idea on how the residential Kohler model would compare, but I would still take a look at it. .

I don't think I made myself clear. It would be a 2x2 grid with pro and anti inclusion on one axis, and horn and meat hunter on the other axis. I just think it would be interesting to see the correlations across the two different issues, four different subsets. So you're not interested in any discussion or exchange of ideas on the topic? OK, I didn't realize that. I will keep my musings out of your poll thread.
-
For the bolded part, not so much motivated by wanting to go with the crowd to fit in, more out of respect of the skill needed to shoot a bow. I would be concerned if enough bow hunters are against it, allowing full inclusion could cause some bowhunters who hunt for sport to quit the sport, which would be bad. I'd be curious to see a poll grouped by pro and anti inclusion folks, asking them if they are sport/horn hunters or meat hunters. I suspect the first group with have a high % of anti, and the latter group high % of pro full inclusion.

I wish there would have been a "neutral" option. I hunt with a crossbow, I don't hunt with a bow. I would love to be able to hunt five weeks earlier in the season, if I had the consensus blessing of my fellow hunters. I look at hunting with a crossbow as a privilege, not a right, and if a majority of all hunters feel I shouldn't have that privilege, I can live with that. From a deer management perspective, I could see the DEC allowing full inclusion in certain WMUs where they give out a lot of doe tags and still don't get the target numbers they want. That might be an approach to a compromise.

Happy Birthday, Jeremy. Enjoy your day.

Deer take numbers shows the Decline.
goosifer replied to Four Season Whitetail's's topic in Deer Hunting
Take of mature bucks up, antlerless/dmp deer down. Interesting how bow is down, crossbow is up, but still, overall bow take was slightly down. Hard to tell the impact from the demand side vs. the supply side. Does DEC present these numbers over a longer period of time? Not sure if these are trends or just one-year flukes. -
I made it to half time and bailed. Tacks is still there with some friends/neighbors, and he has an early morning flight to catch. Better man than me. Biz, we are rooting for you and Michigan.

Happy Birthday, Biz. Few more years and you have to start acting like a responsible adult. Enjoy the time you have left

It's great to be able to have spent a career doing what you love. Now it's "me" time. Or really, "wife" time Enjoy.

https://www.blogto.com/eat_drink/2018/03/antler-restaurant-vegan-protest-toronto/ Animal rights activists were horrified this weekend when the co-owner of a Dundas West restaurant they'd been protesting for weeks staged what appeared to be a counter-protest of his own . . . .

Cheers, and happy birthday, ATbuckhunter
