  1. For those on the fence, a little incentive. Randy pensioner, 85, fined for breaking lockdown to romp with prostitutes blamed Covid VACCINE for increased libido
  2. You had to select your orgy pod early and carefully, then close admissions.
  3. I always catch colds. In the fall of 2019, I decided to embark on a relentless hand washing program. Before or after anything, I washed up. In the winter of 19/20 I didn't get sick. Nor anytime in 2020. (Knock wood.)
  4. Just so I'm clear, who is "they"? Clintons? Soros? Catholic Church? Hollywood? Illuminati? Deep State? Comet Pizza? Jewish space lasers? Fauci? Bert and Ernie? Reporters? Big pharma? Lizard people? Help a brother out.
  5. In Asia, masks were typically worn if you were sick and had to be out in public as a consideration to those around you. Seems like a sensible gesture.
  6. There's a bar/hotel near me. Two weeks ago, 21 people hung out at the bar one night with no masks. And two bartenders. A week later 23 people have covid.
  7. Nothing drives me crazier than picking up beer cans on my road.
  8. You guys are missing out. Free admission. https://gothamist.com/news/new-yorks-hottest-vaccination-site-now-american-museum-natural-history
  9. Tinker to Evers to Chance. Pick one.
  10. Among many, for sure. But I be there are a lot of the hardcore guys who look at him as an anti-hero and would happily buy some of those feathers.
  11. I don't know ... No remorse, suspended sentence, small fine in relation to what he sold the feathers for, changed his name and now performs as a flautist in Europe.
  12. Very cool. Yeah, he was supposed to be an insanely good tyer. What was shocking is that he basically walked away from this crime, scott free.
  13. Anecdotally, it seems that people who hydrate before and after, and do some physical work, suffer few if any side effects.
  14. Yes, there was a thread on a trial that captivated the nation. That makes sense. This however is you regurgitating more political crap you read online. You have taken over an entire subforum, isn't it enough? Are you so desperate for attention? If you're having a crisis of confidence, try this every morning: I'm going to take my own advice and prep for a fishing trip tomorrow. All yours. Grouse away if you must.
  15. Nothing. It's just better served in the political subforum where grouse can regurgitate what he reads to his heart's content.
  16. A. this should be in the Politic subforum. B. get off the internet and go outside, dude.
  17. These classic tyers all turned a blind eye to the source of their materials. You can buy feathers from endangered birds pretty openly. The crazy thing is that many of these guys don't fish. They just like flies. There's a cool documentary about Megan Boyd, who is considered the greatest of all the salmon fly tyers. She lived in a small cottage, with no electricity, running water or telephone, and tied for 14 hours a day by the light of a gas lamp. Anglers from all over the world would make the trek to buy her flies. https://www.nytimes.com/2001/12/11/sports/megan-boyd-eccentric-master-of-fish-flies-dies-at-86.html
  18. You salmon fly fans may like this book: Brief interview: https://www.npr.org/2018/04/30/607079309/a-weird-but-true-story-takes-flight-in-the-feather-thief
  19. In 1977, I was hanging out with a group of guys who all had muscle cars. (I was too poor.) Man those days of cruising around all night then meeting up in a drive-in restaurant parking lot to bullshit the night away. It was Dazed and Confused.
  20. Pretty spot. So, that's pretty open and a perfect place for a longer rod that you can just water load downstream and flip up. I would go 7'6" to 8'6" rod in a 3 or 4 wt. There are so many options. I like my Redington Classic Trouts - always on sale somewhere and good medium action paired with a DT line like Cortland's 444 Peach. The reel is less important. Orvis Battenkill is pretty sweet and classic.
