  1. All it takes to change the government is enough people wanting to do it.  There are many here who see no reason to, or defend the status quo.  I address issues with people wherever I see them.  And if the person I debate with is not objective, many of the people reading on the sidelines probably are.
The lead ammo ban has a lack of interest?  Funny, it keeps coming back up every year.  Somebody has an interest in passing it and they hope you lose interest in watching them try.

Ok if you think you can change government on a hunting website go for it. I just think you could do more addressing the issue with the people running the show or maybe getting involved and making the changes yourself.
As for the lead ban bill it’s a feel good bill just like the fifty caliber bill that’s been proposed for years and never goes anywhere.

  2. There was an Indian fellow offering you help this morning but his post is gone JK lol [he was a spammer]

Your best bet would be to go to a local range and talk to the guys in charge of it.I know on long island most of the range officers where instructors on the side.

The people who can't see what's happening right in front of their eyes, that's who.  I'm concerned about my progeny.  I'm not self centered like you.

I'm very open minded to anyone that can prove me wrong.  I just don't accept stupidity as an option.

My time on this site is very limited and it takes me very little time to read and post what I do.

Also, if you think you have golden years to look forward to, tell the government your plans and watch them laugh.

How are you going to help your kids future on a hunting website? and what makes you think your going to change big government on a hunting website? you'd never admit it if someone proved you wrong and why do you need someone on a hunting website to prove you wrong anyway there's a million political websites out there.

You answered in a post this morning raised back up from a spammer? If you took a minute and emailed the sponsor(Glick] of the lead ban bill like I did you'd know it's dead on the floor with a lack of interest. You'd be surprised how many[not all] government officials will answer and debate issues with you.

Why do we bother?  They're dumb, blind and happy in their servitude.

You come on here everyday and call people Brainwashed, but your the most closed minded person on here. The sad thing is you spend 75% of you life reading that crap you cut and paste. There's not a f*%$'n thing you can or will do to change it.Your supposed to be enjoying your golden years,so who's the real fool?

  5. I had a phenomenal morning on the Catt and then pulled into a little creek that Id never fished and caught a glorious wild brown in a hole with a little spring running into it. It was the only creek in the Catt system I hadnt fished. I love "collecting" streams and this is number 34 for me. Also got a cool pic of a sucker through the polarized glasses

For the last few years a bear has ripped up the tree I smear evercalm on. You can see the older marks. I’m going to start putting it on a tree near my treestand not on it.

  8. They should have a spring bear season to keep them in check. Most fall bears are a byproduct of deer hunting.
I ran out back this morning to make sure my shed was locked there was a cub next to it. Luckily it stood up when I spooked it and didn’t charge at me. It was only 15 feet away from me eating huckleberry plants.

I got the emergers today. Do you fish these solo or with a dry/wet fly. I’m hooked on the whole dry dropper to start off the adjust to what gets hit the most.

The little lone fly on the left is a Dunn it’s smaller then I thought but looks like the flys I keep seeing.

  10. Got skunked this morning. I’m not really sure what to do when the wind causes ripples on the water so I used a dry dropper. I found a full container of worms so I’ll probably be pan fishing this afternoon.

  11. You gotta head upstream(or downstream) sometimes to get away from the boot prints. Trout fishing is more like hunting imo. The more that you stay hidden downstream and cast upstream the better. I wear drab natural colors and don't let my shaddow enter the hole. Dont stomp the ground or take strong steps near the waters edge. This is not brim fishing. These are the wildest weary fish in the creeks. Make your first cast count.

There was fish swirling around I’m not walking away from fish to find fish. I’m here know nothing is happening so I worked my way down stream. I’m having a cup of swirl and going to head up stream. I’ve been fishing here for over a month and everyone I’ve encountered has been polite Karen and the kids where looking for attention.

  12. Had a terrible afternoon fishing today. I went back to the Creek with the brown trout they where swirling around as soon as I get in and cast some woman and her kids walk down, so I moved down thinking they where go to fish nope the kids jumped in and the girl swam right to where I was the mother was throwing sticks in trying to get her dog to go in. I packed up and left didn’t even take my waders off went to the creek with the brook trout first cast a fish hits but something was wrong? There was about a hundred feet of breaded line in the water nothing after cleaning the line out.
Sorry for the long winded post but that sucked.

Evening folks.  I got the boys out again for fishing.  Once again, my youngest is out fishing me and my oldest combined. He got two decent large mouth and a 21” walleye on Oneida Lake.  We’ll have the walleye tomorrow for dinner.

  14. Warm air tems aren't bad its bright sun or warm water. Water temps too high 70 degrees or higher are bad . You will kill fish . Bright sun puts the fish deep or in broken water . Shade  spots. As it warms up hatches compress and will happen just before or after dark .
On a side note there was sulphurs hatching last evening here in Chemung county.

They’ve been hatching up here too. There butterscotch colored with three long tails I was doing good with an Adam fly.
I think I’ll leave the trout alone for a few days.
