  1. I had ABC on for a while and they where doing a decent job of remaining neutral but as the night went on you could really tell they where getting nervous for Clinton.
  2. Trump better not go all Buffalo Bills on me!
  3. whats a good source of info for a Trump supporter to watch/follow? I don't have cable so i'm stuck with over the air channels and the internet.
  4. Great topic I was just thinking about this myself today. now that my daughter has been out with me a few times a want to get her into some of my real nice double stands for a better chance at seeing deer but i'm not doing that without having her in a harness. I will have to check out the mentioned harnesses.
  5. I'm waiting until after work. The wife and myself are taking the kids along with us so they can see what its all about. For the first time in my short presidential voting career I am truly nervous about the outcome of this election. And i'm not just nervous that my guy wont win I am also nervous that what will happen if he does win.
  6. Great thinking on using the thermal imaging camera. I've never heard of anyone else using one to help them.
  7. On a deer that is a one shot clean kill I am incredibly happy and thankful. I usually take some time to thank god for the opportunity and once down out of the stand and next to the deer I usually take a few more moments and thank the deer for its sacrifice. If it's a bad shot and the deer suffers before I'm able to finish the job I'm generally disapointed in myself for taking what ended up being a horrible shot. In the end that's not what I'm out there to do and thankfully that's only been a few times. I do still thank god for the opportunity and thank the deer for its sacrifice. I might even throw in an apology to the deer as well. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  8. What a day I ended up having. Only saw 2 deer never drew the bow back but had a great time. During the evening sit with my daughter we where a few hundred yards south of a friend up in his stand. Around 4:15 he sends me a text that a little 4 pointer is headed our way. I relay the message to her and show her which way to be on the lookout. Let me tell you the next 45 min flew by and she never once complained about being bored again! All day I was telling her that you could be having a bad day out in the woods but all it takes is 15 minutes to make it a good day as I told her some of my late day deer stories. As we are packing up getting ready to go in she tells me that it ended up being a good day! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  9. She's only 6. About 4 foot tall and a size 1 boot. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  10. Made it out for the evening with my daughter. I hope she lasts until sunset. Gonna have to get her some camo as she seems to be making this a regular thing now! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  11. Woods are active today just not with deer. I've got the sun beating down on me and it feels amazing. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  12. I'm back at it again. Haven't been in the woods since last Sunday. I'm going to hunt the morning then go get my daughter for an evening hunt. I already bumped as small one on the way in and had a buck pass by 100 or so yards away. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  13. Congrats Larry! What a day you had. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  14. Here's my pheasant hunting buddy. Much younger in this picture than she is now.
  15. She's in for a disappointing hunting future after that kind of start!!!!! It's another reason why I never shoot the monster bucks, I don't want to be disappointed the following year with a measly 10 pointer!!! KIDDING Congratulations goes out to her and her father great job and know doubt hooked for life now!
  16. When I first started hunting as a young teenager I really didn't have much money to go out and buy all new hunting clothes so most of what I wore was hand me downs from my Uncle and Friends. 20 years later I still wear a lot of those clothes by choice and by fear that if I change things up my luck will change in the field! I have upgraded a lot of the important gear to help me stay warm but I still wear the same old pants, turtle neck and long sleeve shirts.... Just in case
  17. Papist, everyone can learn from your shear determination to find this deer. I am so glad you found him after all of your effort and even though there will be no meat to enjoy you recovered the rack of this beautiful animal and will have a great story to go along with it to tell until the end of time. You not only made us hunters proud but you gave that animal justice as well. Congratulations are indeed in order!
  18. Oh man gotta love kids!!!!! They can make everything better
  19. I say wait for the morning unless you have a coyote problem in the area.
  20. Has he converted any of those cans into a telephone string we can contact him on? Lol

Every summer I camp inside the park and have always been interested in hunting it. I have only seen the tourist parts of the park as I am always with family but I would love to go explore off the beaten path. I live less than a hour away from the park and to me like someone already mentioned this would be like hunting the big woods of the Dak's without the far drive.
