    My buck managed to break his G3 off sometime between the afternoon of the 16th and when I killed him on the 24th My taxidermist is currently working on rebuilding the tine based on traillcam pics...

    He wasn't close to being the highest scoring deer that I had on trailcam this year but this brute of a buck was very near the top of the most wanted list. The 3 year history with "the big one horner" came to an end tuesday afternoon.

    Update: he tipped the scales at 246 live weight and 195 dressed. Not a speck of fat on him so I'm certain he lost a good 25lbs over the past month. He also managed to break off his G3 since Saturday night! His right brow was 8.5".

    This guy wasn't built for scoring but after 3 yrs of him on camera I'd gladly cull him from the gene pool. He's possibly the biggest bodied buck that I've ever seen on the hoof!

    Yeah, he's only a 3.5 year old. No one around here is going to pass him. I just appreciate him for what he could be. I'm not trying to raise him to 5.5 or 6.5...this if after all NY...not Iowa!

    Accidentally posted a thread about this awesome young buck last week in the trailcam review thread. Well, got him again on a different cam I just moved to a scrape. Hope he makes it through season. He's one of my favorite bucks that I've had here in years and believe that he could be something truely special in a year or two...
