    It looks like pitting of the barrel to me ,maybe I'm wrong. Try using Montana extreme bore cleaner for bh209. If it doesn't effect accuracy just keep up on it from now on . You could try 100 stokes of jb bore paste to polish it up some .

    Guns inc and American shooter are owned by the same person. I stopped in to American shooter looking for a lever action . Even those are gone from shelves. Like others I don't see shelves being fully stocked for a long time . I just wish I had more 8mm and 303 British.

    Like my father says, the deer up north jump and bounce while the deer down south run in a straight line !!! Its a different style of hunting in the northern zone and adks....

    I've been on the walk more sit less side of hunting the past few years and it seems to be working . Think those first two weekend's in November are prime for a BBD..

    Add my name to your list !!!! Only kidding I have wanted to do this documentation for a long time . I suppose I should get going on . I really need to get my wife going on her pistol permit so she can co own the ones I've got . If I croak before the documentation is done she knows my ruger mini 30 from high school graduation in 94 goes to the grave with me .

    My mistake. I looked on the label and see the active ingredient is calcium chloride, a salt which is corrosive to steel as I thought . I wish you luck on your safe search and moisture control.

    I didnt see where they recommend calcium chloride? I run a golden rod and monitor levels with a hygrometer.

    calcium chloride is exceptionally corrosive to metal. I like Robs idea of a home security system . I have that plus safe. I asked my father in law who is a nys trooper, he said home security system as others said protects your entire house and what's inside it .

    Aren't safes designed for storage barrel up ? I'm not home to look in mine. I've never been to a gun shop that displays guns or stores them barrel down. Good luck to those that do it that way .

    Mine just says Canon on top above key pad and a fancy C on the bottom. I looked for paper work and model but don't see one . I guess it works good for me . If we ever move it can stay with the house because its not going back up the stairs
