I was just joking lol. some communities do have rules on colors of houses, landscaping, etc. but the 99 towns parking rule was a joke. But I personally think if you have a garage, it should be to put cars inside of it. I hate when i see 5-6 cars parked in a driveway every single day.
In the twelve years I’ve lived in my home, I can count the number of times I’ve left my truck outside. New houses 3rd garage is plenty large enough for my truck. Might even have room for the Hydro Tractor aka the lawn mower. Lol!

I also shop at Brown’s and he suggested these to me last year as well. The are nice being able to shut them off without a tool. The only thing is once you get the right size adapter for your arrow put a small dab of crazy glue on push them in. They will stay in place a lot better. I took two deer last year with these. Huge difference in brightness compared to the nocturnals on my crossbow arrows (bolts.)

Blue/Red political line? I live about 3 miles from Putnam County (red)
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkNo kid, the blue line is just a shit made up line for us tools close to the ADK Park. Nothing political intended. We need more good people up in the Toga area close to the blue line that hunt and enjoy life.
Cheers to you and the misses.

Best wishes, to a healthy birth. Poor child will live many miles below the blue line . Come north the air is better!!! Also fewer ticks!

3 ounces per gallon, kills every thing the first time around. 40 gallon boom sprayer, no higher than 18-20 inches off of the ground. Rubber boots, Long pants, long sleeves, or a hoodie, with a mask and safety glasses. If it’s windy I don’t spray. I’m not going to waste my time money and effort planting plots only to let weeds take them over.

Did you consider this stuff? I heard it works but never tried it.
Maybe in the long run, an electric fence is a better option.
I tried the plot saver ribbon my first year ever planting soybeans, it helped but it just isn’t as effective as the electric fence. Just under 600 to close off a full acre.

I’m jealous at how few rocks I see in those pics. Looks great! I had good success with the fence in the past. Only issue was the dam turkeys charged straight through it and broke the wire.

very nice! I would like to find a single or double row planter. Broadcasting works fine for clover and blends but for peas, beans, corn etc a planter would be nice.
Thanks, the jd planter makes the plots very easy after initial set up and the right seed plate. When I was looking for a planter every two row I found was either a POS or to much money.

Was picking up a clevis twist hitch for my disc today at TSC, they have all sorts of plot bags there. So like sodfather I'm a novice at this, my question would be to you guys with experience:. Is there any reason, really, to getting a couple bags of whitetail institute vs buy the same seed from my local feed supplier? I know they say it's genetically engineered to taste great to whitetails, but in the end is that really going to make a difference?
Sod does your buddy mix from a local feed store, or combine the bag stuff?
Yes, in years past I’ve had better success with whitetail institute and frigid forage products buying from my local seed stores. Same fields same process just better results as far as plot production. I’m a fan of frigid forage for fall plantings. Autumn quick plot is something that could be thrown down late August and get good results. Just my opinion and 2 cents.

Reclaiming old Christmas tree fields to plant hasn’t been super easy but I’m happy for my first year with the property. Lots of other projects on the farm to do but these plots are doing ok.
FWIW, this was all done with a 1025r HYDRO, single row JD planter. Fall plots are going in this week. The Brown truck just delivered my frigid forage order.

Yes, I got the same two envelopes in the mail. I spoke to a woman from the PA game office and she stated that they mail them out in error every year to the Elk applicants. The yellow card show what you applied for is the only thing to be concerned with keeping. Good luck to all that applied !! And a thank you for starting this thread.

if you're near the Saratoga, Warren, Washington, or Rensselaer county area the Upper Hudson River Valley branch has some still left too.
Any chance a QDMA member could still get a couple bags of those beans...?
Thank you,

Started to look into this kit from Cuddeback.
CuddeLink Dual Cell Starter Kit 3+1 Model 11421Everything is included to deploy 4 cameras and get the images from all 4 sent to you via cellular service.

1 CuddeLink Dual Cell, model K-5789
-
3 CuddeLink IR cameras, model J-1415
Dual Cell Kit is the easy, low cost way to get started with cellular trail cameras. This 4 camera kit includes 4 cellular connected trail cameras that share 1 cell plan. 3 CuddeLink J-Series cameras send their images to CuddeLink Dual. Dual Cell uses Verizon LTE service to email or text the images to your smartphone, tablet or computer. CuddeLink Cell allows you to have up to 16 cameras on the network sharing 1 cell plan, saving your hundreds of dollars per year.
With the D cell battery adapters I think it might help with battery usage.
Any thoughts or suggestions on this would be great. Thank you in advance.

I’m looking for some suggestions on what trees would be good to drop or hinge for winter browse. My soybeans are pretty well gone and the turnips and radishes are getting slim.
Thank you you in advance.

There is no point in pushing out camera purchases based only on some advancement being just over the next hill. Alot like other "nice to have" tools...there will always be advancements of some sort.
Standalone cell cams have different purposes than mesh networks and different capabilities/limitations.
My suggestion is to buy a standalone cell camera now. Set it out and get used to set-up, controls, how to troubleshoot, and determine battery life for your specific situation. In mid-late spring, make the important decisions about what you will need and buy for the 200 acres. That gives you 3-4 mos to implement the cams, overcome any learning curve, and be ready for the fall season.
All in all, I think I ran right around 20 cams in cellular or mesh networks this fall.
Thank you Sir, I agree with the why wait for technology thought. With that being said do you have any suggestions as to a make of camera that could get me started? I like the idea of purchasing a cuddeback with the potential to link it up with other cameras down the road, having one brand to use and work with....?
-
At this time I run 6 cameras, across 200 acres.

I’m starting to research wireless trailcamera set ups to equip my new property. Looking for any input as to what cameras people have and how they like them. Cell service isn’t a problem, theft shouldn’t be too much of a concern. I like the idea of the cuddelink system, but I just wonder if the technology will get better in the near future to push out my purchase. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
Happy New Year,

The only ground hunting I do is on opening day of rifle, late morning while doing a few pushes of the local area with family and friends. Hunting from a portable stand has dramatically increased my success in my area.

P.S.
In all seriousness, I’ve owned two S10 zr2’s, a 08 Tacoma Trd Sport 4 door, FJ cruiser Trd and a 4 runner Limited for the wife, 3 Tundras, 2 rock warriors and a Trd Pro. No major issues with any of the yota’s. Great resale value and a amazing dealer was why I stayed with Toyota for so long. Truthfully I got tired of buying the same truck over again when purchasing Tundras. The Ram is loaded and huge inside, I also don’t need to add air bags to it to accommodate the sled deck unlike the 3 previous Tundras. All newer trucks are a good purchase it truly depends how long you plan on keeping it as to were the expense/value comes in.
P.S.
The diesel is just so fun to drive
