  1. Samson doesn’t like them either...
  2. Wow! Those BW risers sure get fancy! Do you have any experience with a long bow? Almost night and day with respect to drawing a long bow...so smooth and accurate! I only hunt with my self bows but my Bear Montana is sure tempting to bring in to the woods!
  3. They are called a hikers best friend as if you are lost/stranded in the woods, they are an easy food source. I have caught some while trapping in northern NY...my son and I skinned one a couple years ago...open like a beaver, not cased. Had a hard time fleshing it. Borax’ed it and had it hanging in my trapping shed until recently...Bugs got to it. I use the quills in my flintlock touch hole.
  4. Wow Moog5050! That sure is nice! Xmas present....for yourself?
  5. I had a good season...got out a bunch, saw lots of wildlife, harvested some deer, and best of all, got to share most of it with my son Colton! To top it off, I was with him when he harvested his first deer! Looking forward to getting our flintys out a couple times this week! Good luck and be safe! Dino
  6. Go Pro is off to the side and in the way of the scope..I’m not that tech’y but you can watch the live Go Pro feed on the iPhone...pretty cool
  7. Maybe a sign...rainbow! ...although could do without the rain part
  8. Out with the boy again at our canoe-to ground blind...spirits still up even though a deer is not yet down...starting to feel a little like groundhogs day. He put his GoPro on the gun to add a little excitement! Good luck all!
  9. I’m pulling for TF and his pullet as well as everyone else this morning! My son and I are heading out behind the house in 9F...need to take a little canoe paddle to get to our spot.
  10. Out with my bro at parents in 9f...very still out. No deer sightings for me yet...brother saw an nice 8 walking away at 40 yards
  11. Hey there...just noticed the Cabelas gift card that TF stuck to my fridge when he dropped off the sausages....totally unnecessary!!!! Thanks! Will be put to good use...wool socks for Colton...heading up north with him on a camping/trapping excursion today until Sunday ....temps in the teens.
  12. Hoping if I’m lucky enough to stick a deer, it doesn’t decide to cross the flooded creek!
  13. Not sure how I feel about sitting in my metal ladder stand with all the lightening in the background
  14. Two doe feeding on acorns on the wrong side of my stand...they have me pinned..,hopefully they move off before the rain so I don’t scare them. Looks like the sky is open up very soon!
  15. You made my day!! Can’t wait to show my son Colton...he will be psyched!! Been out of town...just heard some sausages will be waiting for me at my house when I get back! Perfect timing for my camping/trapping trip up north with Colton! thank you very much!!!
  16. How about a 40 or so pound long bow (Bear Montana)....so smooth!
  17. Nice job Grampy!! Forgot about time change but still got out in time....just a 10 walk behind my house to my perch. Jumped two doe with my son after the pm hunt....they were just right behind our stand...5 more minutes and possibly a different outcome! Good luck! (Rain stopped in Lancaster...for now)
  18. Great harvest Zeek! That’s give me lots of inspiration sitting here in my stand sweating!
  19. Out trying my luck behind the house again ...lots of black flies! My brothers sent me these recent Picts from parents house...not sure why I’m not hunting there right now...
  20. Nice morning in 9f ... with the exception of the urban background noise ... Sunday’s are my favorite days to be the woods as it is much more quieter
