  1. I give you a lot of credit fasteddie; keep on enjoying the hunt. Good luck!
  2. Good luck. I am far steadier with a crossbow, then recurve, and can make a more accurate shot. I like the idea of aim and fire too.
  3. Last year was a first for crossbow for me. I liked it ,but had far to many projects that needed tending to, so hunting had to take the back seat. I now fresh off the gilly tending and ready to give it full pursuit. Good luck to all hunting these addicting whitetails. May you bows be cocked and your arrows fly true.
  4. Looks in good shape, Wonder what it does with the extra shoe?
  5. Know wonder food prices are going through the roof. Inflation city. How is that farmer ever roll over 350K for 55 acres? Business can just walk away from debt, don't have to file bankrupt, and start a new. What a racket.
  6. Quote, " He isn't going to build or do anything with it.."
  7. 320 K sounds like a lot of money for 60 acres. Maybe if theirs road frontage for lots. Anyways , let's talk numbers: Federal and State income tax 33 percent, 106 K; Real Estate Sales Company, 4 percent, 13K; Lawyer 3 K. Up to 122K already gone. Minus other expenses. 190K left. Where are they going to live? Doubt if that is enough for even a small ranch home. If the place is paid for. Where are they going to live for what they pay in taxes on that property? Knowhere ! Use that and just maybe some common sense might just kick in. Good luck.
  8. Very windy and mild temps this morning. Deer moved early here.
  9. Welcome to today's world. Most of us are rational people and wouldn't think of taking it to this extreme. Their are some, as you are finding out that will. Running a business is a difficult task.
  10. Clear as a bell with frost on the pumpkin this morning. Kind of a deer jump start.
  11. Bumped this one out of a bedding area where I found the sheds, beginning of this topic.
  12. Good to see them involved in hunting. Hope they stay with it. Oh, and good luck with the teenagers.
  13. We've had tough bucks over the years. Some older, some not. It depends what they eat. Grind into burger, add pork loin . It all goes in the same place, anyhow.
  14. Already has happen here. And yes, I've seen fawns here in April.
  15. When that youth hunter is ready, it will happen. Good luck in your hunting season.
  16. First deer on the left. I didn't have my field binos the afternoon this pic was taken. What do you think, buck or antlered doe?
  17. Any time the state gives me permission to get out there and hunt, I'm gone. Been sitting in dense fog the last two mornings, without knowing deer were out. Evenings cool off nicely around seven o'clock.
  18. Just throw a little human scent their way. That'll mov'em.
  19. Has the Department of Ag. and Markets even done a informational survey yet on the "Purple Paint Law?
  20. Nice . This showed up past weekend while out shed- deer hunting.
