  1. It all relates back to the love these children didn't get, the parenting these children didn't receive and the broken families they encountered. A lot of people don't care for Glenn Beck. I for one, like some of the things he has to say! Socialism has to continue to be fought off in this country. If it thrives, God help us all !
  2. You keep that snow, LOL! Deer are pounding the garden area where I planted the red clover. They didn't touch it much until that first Wednesday's wet snow, a few weeks back. Tracks all over and scrape open areas. Looks like a flock of sheep were in it with all the tracks. We have, maybe 6" of snow on the level. Sunday, I opened a track with the tractor and blade a mile back, for easier walking and just in case one of us got a deer. I get tired tracking through the snow. Coming home today, a welcome sight of 27 turkey in the sunny corn field.
  3. Thanks Elmo! Ended up buying the HD 7" for $137+ tax at BJ's. Only thing is it's 8GB. She change her mind, said she wanted 16GB. today. Opps oh well, Santa already wrapped and packed it. Now I find out Best Buy has it for same, with a $20 gift card. Might be going back after all. Wrapping paper's cheap, LOL.
  4. My fiberglass ramrod on my Winchester is really tough. I give it alot of punishment and it is a survivor. My sons Thomson however, wasn't the quality of mine and bent very quickly. He called the company and they sent him a replacement that was far better quality, but they wouldn't admit to a problem with them. Think they socked him $40 for it, but now it has lasted. Might be worth a call to your guns manufacture to see what they advise.
  5. I would think a pointed bullet would push through the wood without adding a metal insert. Don't know how you could add a metal insert without taking strength away from the dowel. The other problem is storing the dowel when not in use.
  6. This person definitely has issues that should be addressed!
  7. I miss deer season! I think the green is on sale now!
  8. Thanks for the input. Seeing that time is short, I'm heading to BJ's to pick up my Christmas present so I'll check them out. See what the price difference between the 7 and 10".
  9. I should clarify, Remember what WMU, I'm from.
  10. I like some of your ideas, but all or nothing- NO!
  11. Nice deer! Looks a little like your avatar pic.. Been hard on the heels of a big one all season. Got a nice surprise at 4:45pm. with an encounter with, who we call, Tall Tine Six. Hot on the heels of 2- 7 month old doe. I was sure that buck was going to be shot, as he appeared several times, out of range during bow season. Somehow made it through, and should be a dandy of a buck for next season. I so needed a lift of spirits for the end of season. Above answered my prayer!
  12. The Misses informed me today see wants a Kindle, HELP!!!!!! Know we have quite a few people that have a great deal of computer knowledge here, really could use the helpppppppp. Looking at the Kindle Fire 7" screen, 8GB. I have no idea what a Kindle even is, yet alone make some kind of an intelligent decision, LOL. Oh and for around $150, if that is possible!
  13. I believe growalot uses something like this, but on other hunters. Might be worth a try on the deer. I know reflective pie pans work pretty well.
  14. The snowmobiles and the hunters could work something out. Other states do it!
  15. Bucks look in fine shape. Lucky your neighbors didn't shoot them.
  16. That's the plan! Whether the DEC want to confess to it or not. That's for another thread, however.
  17. Exactly why I don't tend to go off the property. I remember the days, when you were dam happy to see a plow open the road, to get supplies when the next storm hit. We we happy to fix a little lawn, or put the mailbox back up, LOL.
  18. The winters have been uneventful for quite a few years here. People tend to let their guard down. We get slammed with a real good one, like we use to get back in the 60's and 70's, people wake up.
  19. Sounds good to me just like it is. Anyone have a flintlock for sale? PA. does something like this, correct?
  20. Yeah, grandma use to play the piano and the whole family use to sing some classic Christmas carols back in the day. I never realized how much I enjoyed it, until later in life. Boy I sure miss grandma!
  21. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family! Fifty years old, so young.
  22. Who, in their right state of mind is going to go for such an assign plan as this? Are they using any common sense in the decision making process? I don't think people should be chasing wild pigs with dogs around the state, but if a license hunter sees one, yet him shoot it!
