  1. I always use the phone. Stuck on the old way, I guess.
  2. That one looks similar to mine, but in Mossy Oak. Same basic design, but mine has a removable inner liner. Rest of the description is the same. Called a Gamehide made in Sri Lanka. Got it in Gallions for $60 reduced, after Christmas.
  3. Always amazing that those big ones can get through nearly 10 weeks of season, then show back up on the home turf. They must have some stories to tell the grand kids, LOL. If u muzzleload hunt, good luck. If not, hope to see u with the sheds.
  4. Want to get the buck to doe ratio back in check. For some reason, doe have come in. Think it's the food source. Also would like to get a first muzzleloader deer. Might as well do my part to raise the dmp success rate. A lot of gun shots during regular season, and a lot of misses too.
  5. Heading out for last shot gun sit. Muzzleloader tomorrow!
  6. We were also suffering from an energy crises in 77, which made it all the worst. Schools were closed for weeks with no fuel oil.The winds blew for weeks In January with 30" of snow on the ground. 20' snow drifts were very common.
  7. New food source this year, so it's ground sits, with no place for stands. We'll see how it goes. Looking for a first muzzleloader deer.
  8. I wouldn't be to upset if we had another winter like last. There were some tough winters, from the 60's on, but also remember winters like last when Lake Erie never froze over. The winter of 63 and 77 sticks in my mind the most. Those were 2 of the worst ones, when V plows and pay loaders were used to open fire routes, and get the milk off the farms.
  9. Some issues with the server? Had to go through the calender, to get into this post. Maybe they have soggy britches too, LOL. The fog was thick in spots. Had deer pop up at 7:18 am between the showers. They were bedded in the radish. Just chewed on my lip. Looks like a dark day.
  10. Here's a mature doe shot by my son at 101 yds., yesterday afternoon. Weighs in at 161 lb..
  11. Heading out in a few. Taking the muzzleloader, try to change my luck. Son dropped an extremely large doe last.
  12. So how much are lawyers these days? I'll just build a permanent stand. That should end the stealing.
  13. Their not on the wheat fields here, as heavy. Other years, nothing left. This year, hardly been touched. We have new sources of carbs too, that might make the difference.
  14. Yes, was extremely crunchy this am.. Tonight should be a good one. Good Luck.
  15. Watched a guy on tv, deep fry it in its own bear fat. He said it was good, but don't tell his cardiologist.
  16. Let us know what works the best Doc. I'm getting mine out of storage to, but to use. With this new coating they have today, they say u don't have to boil them. Mix with white or unleaded gasoline. Leaves a nice flat black finish, when dry.
  17. Wow, that's to close. Hit the brakes, hope the tin can metal in these new trucks can take the impact.
  18. Turning out like last years weather, isn't it.
  19. Is this how Autozone rewards a military member. Someone in Autozone management needs his butt kicked. Give that man a medal, and promote him to store manager.
  20. My son shot this doe at 76 yd yesterday afternoon. Rain, wind and 2 drenched people Sitting on the ground. Found her this morning. We love hunting, LOL. Weighed in at 145 lb. My back hurts!
  21. Heading out right now, maybe I'll empty my gun. At $2.25 per shell, I don't think so, LOL.
