  1. Time's a ticking. I figure enjoy the money while I'm still around. These days, one can still make $ and still draw from SS.. Like a big fat pay raise.
  2. It's a nice contrast between the darker cupboards and the lighter counter top. Blends everything together. What does the stone look like?
  3. Hang a big fat juicy lobster on the end of that fishing pole, LOL. Works every time.
  4. Had to use a hatchet to get this guys G-2 s out of the ice.
  5. Cograts Otto. Very nice picture. Maybe this will get the misses more involved if you give her the gift card, LOL.
  6. Don't forget Wyoming and Genesee counties for that Blizzard Warning1
  7. Their calling for 3 to 5 feet+ in the Tughill area. I don't know how those people that live there can.
  8. It's 5 degrees here. A solid 8" overnight. We have no wind. Prepared for worse, than what it is.
  9. Travel advisory for Northern Erie County. Thruway closes to truck and bus traffic exit 46 to PA. line at 8 pm.. Maybe an inch here all day in the (sip of gin and tonic) lake effect snow. Time to break into the lemon pepper Jim Beam jerky.
  10. Last blizzard warning was issued for Northern Erie County was last year; when then multi car pileup on the 90, near Lancaster happened. Like 60- 70 vehicles.
  11. Some 42 years ago today marks the start of the "Blizzard of 77."
  12. Third batch almost done; forth batch soaking up the sun, LOL
  13. Don't want to alarm anyone really but, this storm could very well meet the standards for a blizzard warning to be in issued.
  14. It was posted on PA. thruway authority site when G- Man posted. That one and the 20+ car one east bound at 12:30 in the same area.
  15. That stretch of roadway: it always seem to be bad weather conditions in the winter..
  16. Good luck on the growing! I been meaning to get some planted but, always turn out to be maple trees, LOL.
  17. Got a great Jim Beam flavor, sweet and tangy with a little kick; 2 1/2 hours in.
  18. Today is the day, like no other day that the venison jerky gets to fill the aroma through the house. I freeze slabs of venison during hunting season, awaiting their thinly sliced journey into the oven when things quiet down some. Cook to bring the internal temperature up to 150 degrees { thank you grow) then they make their ways over to the dehydrator for the final process. I get quite excited doing deer jerky different ways; experimenting I guess you would call it. This year, I was lucky enough to find some Jim Beam sauce at an unheard of price for a buck a bottle. I subbed the usual Soy for the Jim Beam. It marinated for 14 hours or so in the fridge and now I can't express in words the smell I'm experiencing in the cooking.
  19. Nice morning, rabbits moved after the squall went through. Winds making it tougher to track. Rabbit stew on the menu.
  20. Isn't the "cure" just a fancy name for salt?
  21. Looks good and just what I'm looking for. I have about 30 lbs. of whole meat slabs to do, Would you care to share the brine receipt?
  22. We were going to head there last night but, it was snowing to hard in Alabama.
