  1. 1 of 3 salad bars planted. Oats and Radish in this one. Spacing out the other 2 a week apart. Got a great price on the radish seed at $95 for 50#.
  2. Working on planting a couple spots this morning. Batch of rain heading this way from Ohio; hopping it lines up a bulls eye for Western New York. Sounds good anyway. Hoping this plan falls into place. We could really use the rain.
  3. How did this work out for ya? I had a deer problem in the row ends of my potatoes. Hung 2 bars of Irish Spring there and ended the problem. I have since removed them since the hays fields have greened again.
  4. I would call that some excellent deer browse at this stage of the game. Great place to set up some cams.
  5. Refuge across the boarder, then dinner at your place; sounds like a good makings.
  6. Their are some good deals floating around on Stealth cams; actually all cams right now.
  7. Spent the evening at the Orleans County Fair. It's a small fair with a strong farm- country oriented theme. Talked to some old friends from the area. A very nice display in the conservation building. Talked to a nice gentleman about trapping. Had a nice skull and fur display. Tried my skill on the backhoe. Lift three objects out of a hole without touching the edge making an alarm go off. Had a lot of fun at " I Got It" game. Everybody won a nice prize. This is what a lot of the county fairs use to be years ago. The price is right to at $7 a car load.
  8. I know round fruits and vegies are packed in special trays, so they don't touch each other. They are also picked way before ripe for firmness.
  9. We may be all crippled up, but we're living longer, LOL.
  10. I've been pulling #52 for years; save the joints is my thinking.
  11. Another nice steady rain this morning. Looks like we plant this weekend. My potatoes are eating it up, so to speak.
  12. Still plenty dry, a few inches down. Started to work wheat land today. No saving the pumpkins, but the potatoes look good.
  13. Your ground aught to be perfect for planting now. We had an inch and four tenths Sunday with gray skies and piddles Monday. It surely helped. East of you, weather service is calling for flooding.
  14. Went to Genesee County fair last week. Today starts the Orleans County, Next week is Niagara County. Fit Wyoming County Fair in there somewhere; then it's the Erie County Fair. State starts the week after. I always enjoy the conservation buildings. Get to talk to some pretty interesting people. Can't miss the Fowlers taffy, fried dough, waffles, Kevin's kettle corn, and the ever famous Banana on a stick. I hear the deep fried Twinkies and Oreo's are good too.
  15. Nice tractor. Ah the smell of fresh paint and smoke burning off the exhaust pipe for the first time. I've restored TO 35's. Three speed with hi- low and live pto. and a Z134 Continental. It hard to find a TO 20 without a cracked block anymore. I've seen threaded rod through the block on some with nuts on the outside of the block to hold things together.
  16. We are getting a nice steady soaking rain this morning.
  17. I have laid my hunting cloths on top of the feed corn in the barrel a few times. Cloths come out smelling like corn. And no. my pockets on an accident do not fill up. Also have used number two apples in a barrel. Draws to many bugs when it warmer. I still use my Scent Away products though. They just smell good.
  18. Their are no tractors, to my knowledge on the market today under 60hp with three point hitch down pressure. International Harvester, Belarus and, maybe a few Case were the only tractors that had it years ago. It injured and killed to many people.
  19. These are the points for that drag. Overall length of 10". Bolt on replacement. I'm down to 25 in inventory or I'd sell you some.Their on Temco H-M website under tillage-planting parts.
  20. Bow Hunting season is approaching quickly. One of my favorite times of the year. I have to practice early. Honestly, my forms off, my groups stink, and my bows loud.
  21. We have used a ozonics closet for two seasons now. Works great. Got the idea from someone on here that owned a motel.
  22. What kind of scent soaps, shampoos do you'all like? I've tried quit a few different ones over the years. Last few years, it's been Hunter Specialties bar soap, laundry soap, and the body, hair shampoo. Works get to shave with too, LOL. The orange and white bottle say it all for attractants., Deer Dander.
