  1. Frenchies was a local watering hole ( and I think they spelled it with a y.) It was on the corner of Goodrich and Delaware LOL.
  2. We use to see a lot of woodchucks at Frenchies , years ago.
  3. Looks good! I may be able to walk on my land without sinking up to my elbows with a few weeks of dry weather. The red clovers are starting to grow here, along with grasses in wet protected areas.
  4. It would take an extra effort on everyone"s part to discuss this on a rational level without breaking the rules of this Forum.
  5. So, the New York Department Of Environmental Conservation has made a big deal out of nothing. Millions spent. A big pat on the back. Taking credit for an effective control of CWD that most likely would have checked itself. Did I miss anything? Should we expect more out of New York State government?
  6. Does anyone know if the P&S have any memory in them once the SD card is removed? I have lost a couple over the years.
  7. No power since noon and still out. No real widespread damage, but all it takes is one tree. Just got done making s'mores. Kinda good with white chocolate. Lucky the Easter Bunny came Sunday, LOL.
  8. Starting to see isolated hens . Future weather pattern doesn't look good for nesting.
  9. So the DEC. is " just blowing smoke." I call it, " Job Security."
  10. Nice shots. Odd little game bird; don't ya think?
  11. Eddie, If I see a sale potential in something, I buy it to resell. Hunting items are in in demand on sales.
  12. We don't have many along the lake. An occasional young male will come this way in Spring. They usually go back south of Route 20 later on. So, I would say for this area, not likely, at least at this point. If population warrants, could see it in parts of the state.
  13. I'll keep swinging; as long as I'm up at the plate.
  14. Another election year. The limber cheese sure gives me gas, LOL.
  15. When we become England; people will be walking around on their hands and smelling with their other end, asking where did we go wrong.
  16. Last boil of the season here today. Trees are going on six weeks tapped and have run their coarse. Been a really sweet season.
  17. Congrats. Any plans on detaiing? I have seen some camo trim packages that look really sharp on white.
  18. Congrats WNY on a " best buy." I'm sure you're enjoy. Popular size tractor. Not to big, not to small. Also comes in blaze orange, LOL.
  19. Animals live by a few things; their stomach one of them. While food is sparse, they save their energy level. One gains a lot by being in the field this time of year. You see things not witnessed in hunting season.
  20. We'll I thought you know about everything Belo. Guess not!
  21. I use the plastic mulch in areas also. I also like to set early tomato plants out in rubber tires. The rubber absorbs the sun during the day and keeps the plant from frosting at night. Ordered my #100 pounds of potato seed yesterday.
  22. I figure I would start a garden growing thread. I will be planting a garden this season. Got my tomatoes, hot and bell peppers, and egg plant started in some containers in a sunny warm spot. Oh maybe 75 or so. Figure on sweet corn, watermelon, muskmelon, pumpkins, cabbage, califlower, broccoli, and some zinnia's. Just hope I can get on the ground before the 4th of July, LOL.
  23. Some of us actually enjoy driving ye. t I don't want some stinking robot doing it for me.. Who would we swear at in a driver error mistake?
  24. Do a little research where this article came from ( NPR); then you'll understand the article.
