He definitely was caught in a trap. However, the foot didn't have any signs of infection or open wounds. -

Yeah, his foot was pretty messed up from a trap. However, it was completely healed and there was no visible wounds or infection. Tough little critters! -

We use Harris. Harris manufactures many different types of bipods, but we specifically use the Ultralight model with 13.5 to 27 inch pivoting head. We have found this range of height is perfect when in the seated position. The pivoting action is crucial to a level sight plane and minor adjustments to make the perfect shot. We all have those hunts that we say we will always remember. This one, for us, was one for the record books….literally. We were privileged enough to harvest two NY trophy birds on the same hunt that would take the 5th and 31st ranking in the NWTF record book. The biggest bird had 6 beards for a total of 40.5” and scored 119.35 and the other scored 86.82 with 3 beards for a total of 22.25”. You can read the full story here…. Full Story

Oh yeah, cameras really love those frigid temps. We actually have the most problems with the tripod heads since they are filled with fluid. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk -

We have been struggling since the start of the hunting season on October 1st. We blamed it on the warm weather, so the first morning the temperatures fell into the 40’s we instantly had action and were able to put one in the dirt.

Thanks guys! -
We were able to get one last filmed hunt in before the final bell of the New York season. The end of March is notoriously successful for us, it seems once the temperature goes up and the snow starts melting, the coyotes really start to move.
