1. After a successful youth season with two birds on the ground it was time for the "adults" to pick up their guns and take some longbeards of their own....enjoy!
2. Setting up on opening morning of turkey season, we had an unwanted visitor spook our birds but it was pretty funny to see what he was carrying in his mouth.
3. We have always had great luck at this property and this hunt would prove no different. After a close encounter here on an early season setup we gave the property a long rest knowing the next setup would have a good chance of connecting.
4. No surprise here, she circled down wind and busted us however, as the saying goes...you can run but you can't hide!
5. We rarely get a coyote to come in past first light but this one decided to show up on the second setup of the morning. Luckily, she decided to cooperate and present a shot even with two panicked hunters flinging guns and cameras around. Enjoy...!
6. It's a rare occurrence in the East, but on this morning we got to enjoy a "textbook hunt." One that is effortless. One where everything falls into place, everything works. The coyotes do their part. They come into the call, and they go down after the shot! The type of hunt which always makes you think, "why doesn't it happen every time like this?"
7. Thanks for watching guys and we love the support!
8. Inhibited by a large snow storm to start the New Year, a lot us struggled to lure in that first coyote of 2013 through a foot or more snow on the ground. Weeks later as temperatures soared and snow melted, we were finally able to start finding tracks and knew the action would soon pick up. Enjoy......
9. It is a Remington 700 with a Bell & Carlson stock and a Jewell trigger. The shot was around 245 yards
10. We always struggle with trying to figure out how long we should stay on a stand and this time we prove to be "dead" wrong. It took a little over 45 minutes for these dogs to show up. We usually only call a stand for 25-30 minutes but this was just one of those stands that just looked too good. Enjoy...
11. Thanks for watching guys, we have two more videos being edited so stay tuned.
12. And so another year of coyote hunting begins here in New York and we start it off at a place we like to call "ol' faithful". It has become a bit tradition for us to begin our seasonal success at this magnificent honey hole, once again it wouldn’t disappoint….enjoy!
13. We took a little summer vacation to the capital of big bucks, South Fork Outfitting in Western Illinois, for some deer scouting, tree stand work, and of course, a coyote hunt or two. With coyotes being off-limits in the off-season of New York State, it was a great opportunity to feed the addiction while visiting our "home away from home."
14. You never know until you try! I will say this- it definitely has its ups and downs. Sometimes it seems so simple and works so easily- and sometimes you work your @#$@# off for two months with nothing to show for it. To have any resemblance steady success, there is a ton of to know and learn, most coming with trial and error. Still learning, but we're trying to share maybe a tip or two here and there without drowning the entertainment value of the video. You'll have to start october 1, because season just ended last sunday here in NY!!
15. We walked into this morning's setup with an extra high level of confidence that there will be coyotes nearby within calling distance. Having a friend call us upon a new property to take care of a "coyote infestation" is always a bonus and a well-received tip. It would only take a matter of minutes to prove credible, as the first coyote was spotted crossing our field in the dark as we put together a blind. Letting this coyote walk to allow for proper filming light, our patience and discipline would pay off as another coyote came into the field a couple minutes later. Remembering the original coyote and knowing the direction he headed, helped us bring him back and put him down as well for an exciting double.
16. This is definitely a new record for us. We were running late and battling a setting sun, so we needed to call in a coyote quick if we wanted to get it on film. Quick it was!
17. Had a great weekend up in Ontario, Canada, we called in 8 coyotes and 4 of them hit the dirt. One of the hunts we called in 6 dogs, one of the craziest hunts I have ever been on. We didn’t have any luck in the morning as all the dogs were called in right at dusk, they all came into challenge howls.
18. This was an exciting hunt for us because its rare we call in dogs with strictly a howl during the day and even more rare to call them from over a half mile away. Enjoy!
19. It has been a while since we have been able to get a dog to pop out in front of the camera but at last we finally connect. Enjoy!!!
20. We are getting a full body done. Where we are they are rare, this is only the third one we have called in in ten years however, the population seems to be rising.
21. Last weekend, we hunted our tails off in back to back all-night coyote adventures yielding some of our most successful results to date. This was all a little new to us because we usually reserve night hunting for snowy full-moon weekends, and otherwise focus on daytime hunting for video purposes. Using the lighting products from a couple new Predator Packs from Boondock-Outdoors, we were able to see lots of predators however. We ended up with 5 coyotes and 1 bobcat, the biggest dog weighing in at 41lbs and the bobcat at 29lbs. All the coyotes were shot at night and the bobcat was shot in the evening and unfortunately, even though we had the cameras out for that hunt we weren’t able to get the kill on video. All in all we had encounters with 14 coyotes, 4 fox, and one bobcat. The night hunting action was very exciting, with lots of sneaky predators under the cover of darkness and howling packs breaking the calm and silent nights. Although we wish we could've connected on some of those missed opportunities, in the end, it was a great weekend!
22. We hunt all over from as far south as Westchester County all the way north to St. Lawrence County but mostly concentrating on central NY.
