Or more like target practice go there only if you want to test out a new gun and maybe a new type of ammo . Because hunting it's not.
-
Yes and a bunch of others that I dont need because I already have to many that dont get used
-
Yea I guess your right.

Well the Democrats like to say the right is all racist and narrow-minded . This just shows trump has a open mind to new ideas granted west is not the greatest public speaker in the world but still he made some good points about bringing manufacturing to innercitys to give blacks better jobs and keep them from getting involved in crime because they can not find work in those areas .

Just saw this article from 2011 One guy from DEC says leaving the forest alone for ever wild is good for deer populations in long run , and others say logging it is much better for deer populations. Anyone who hunts or lives up there want to comment on who is been proven wrong and who is right on this topic since then ? Ed Reed, a DEC wildlife biologist, believes that old-growth forests are more hospitable to deer than previously thought—a consequence of “forest decadence.” “The pre-colonial forest was not an unbroken stand of huge trees,” he said. “It was a very diverse mixture of young and old trees, with openings created by fire, wind, and dying old trees.” These openings would have produced browse for deer. He sees the same natural forces at work in the maturing Forest Preserve. “The forest of today is starting to become old enough that many trees are dying of old age and falling over, which creates small openings in the canopy where sunlight can reach the ground and stimulate new growth,” he said. “This new growth of forbs [broad-leaved plants] and young hardwoods provides perfect deer food.” Reed also said the evergreen stands that were logged before their acquisition by the state have matured enough to provide shelter for deer in winter. As a result of improved habitat, Reed expects the population to continue to climb. “I don’t expect a sudden explosion in the deer population,” he said, “more like a slow increase, with ups and downs due to winter conditions—perhaps 20 to 30 percent higher over the next twenty years.” https://www.adirondackexplorer.org/stories/debate-over-deer

Heres the updated you sarcastically want to know about sounds like , not using the 4 ib shotgun , still waiting for the right choke I ordered to come in, but I just couldn't wait to at least try the gun out with a 3inch slug so I took one shot from a standing position on a sheet of paper no rest just to see what would happen . Well I missed!! Distance was 60 yards from a standing position with my other shotgun I would hit that sheet 10 for 10 every time and close to dead center easily at that distance. Needless to say that gun will not be doing any deer hunting until I can figure out wtf its hitting . O btw heres a tip dont shoot 3 inch Mag slug in a short sleeve tshirt because it leaves a mark lol and I'm a big guy.

So whats the best shot youve ever made?

That would be head shots at squirrels when I was kid with my old crossman pump airgun with iron sites. Every thing after that seemed easier. -
Like to put this out there for anybody who knows the answer , Remington 742 7400 7500 series of guns you here alot on the web they have jamming problems is it the guns or is it people dont take care of them dont clean them right or try shooting them like a AR when there not design for that . Never had problem with my dads
-
After reading all of this , I'm starting to think now maybe I should use the gun I have been using the most for the past 10 15 years the semi-automatic shotgun with iron sites I have shot countless slugs through it they fly good out to 100 yards with a rifle choke even tho I like to keep my shooting to 70 anyway. I just have much more trigger time with that gun then the others. Since I have been hunting almost exclusively in shotgun only areas . All the other guns I own just dont get used anymore. Shotgun zones screwed me up kinda now .
-
Yep that's exactly what he told me he said he really only used the scope to see if the deer was a spike doe buck basically like binoculars and always used the iron sites for shooting he never trusted it . Of course it helps that he has eyes like Hawk better then 20 20
-
I wanted to get the new version of the gun 7500 but between hearing bad things about it I waited and Remington decided to stop making it .
-
That's my dads gun he never had a problem with it getting deer . O did I mention he was in the Special Forces in the military. If you are good you are good I guess . Anyway if it was up to me would change it .

I started worrying about civil war from the dirty tricks I saw going on, during the last Administration . It's the media fault really they will not cover anything negative that the left does and often help them cover up there bad behavior like Benghazi , and what's really the story behind Ford and other scandals. As long as the left feels the media will help them they will continue to try anything to get back in power . -
I think I'm going to take buckmaster and others advice and take 30-06 semi automatic carbine . And switch to the light shotgun only if I start getting fatigued from walking around with it all day long up there .

-
That makes me wonder who is the oldest living guy still hunting
-
Me to , my cousins , friends all have shot plenty of deer with shotguns and with first shot . I did not think this would be a controversial issue here, I guess I was wrong . Nobody is debating that at long range or in a field or open clearing you need a rifle to take far shots that may president themselves I dont know maybe I wrote it wrong ? I wasn't asking which one was going to be more accurate. I already know it's not going to be any of my shotguns that doesn't mean it's not effective within its range limits.

Yep all the predictions from the leftist media starting with Trump was going to start World War 3 , Russia collusion , was going to tank the economy , and he is crazy , have all been debunked . And know matter how much they try the truth is slowly coming out . The only real crazys are on the left from what we have been seeing on tv . -
Nice which side of the park
-
Chuck Schumer wants to pass new regulations for those long limousines, Because of this
-
Yea really this was right on the edge of the park about 15 years ago . I dont hunt that area anymore but I heard numbers are up since that time . I
