Yes but this was before ar 15s Nothing really else in that category back then . And its still a great gun if you don't want or have a Ar 15 handy . Better ammo these days for it makes it more effective now then back then also probably.

I can see that but there just walking dead as in they will be dead it's just going to take a few minutes or hours if there is no medic around depending on the situation that could be just as good. then his buddy's have to stop fighting to help him out . At least that's theory you here about smaller caliber bullets replacing things like 30-06 in the military.

Rattler only one I know that tried it , he said he shot a 4 point years ago with his .30 Carbine from 30 yards away standing broadside. The bullet was a 110 grain soft point. The shot took out both lungs. He said It ran 50 yards and fell over.

Yep one of the best do all guns the military ever came up with in my opinion light weight little recoil short compact and still decent power with in 100 yards for what ever you want to shoot at .

I remember when you could pick one of these up for almost nothing when I was a kid .

For same reasons I made my own version long time ago looked something like this used it with strap on steps to get up the tree . Only used it a few times not for me .It's a strange way to shoot from facing the tree with the rope in front of you . If you like that way of hunting go for it its the kinda of thing you have to try to see if it's your thing I guess . The one I made had aluminum frame with wood on top same basic shape as that one but a lot more stronger looks like he just used plywood.

I don't know I guess walking in the woods to where you think your car is but not knowing for sure I guess or just coming out on the road far away from where you expected. These days it's really hard to get that lost because every smartphone has GPS on it now . But before there was a uncertainty when you went in the woods off trail hard to explain unless it has happened to you . You go bushwacking and are fairly certain you are walking in the right direction but the walk seems longer then expected and you start to second guess yourself kinda of thing . For me it only happened once that I can remember.

I have only been lost 1 time to find my way out I went down hill the place I was at happen to be the highest point around with roads on all sides down below so I was fairly confident I would find my way out eventually, I came out down the road about half mile from my car . This was before smartphones came out . And I forgot to bring a compass that day .

If someone says NO it's NO Respect that dude. You don't have to keep pestering the guy and even bringing up other members that you hate into it , he knows when the GTG is if he wants to go .
