  1. I've been primarily a northern zone guy for probably 20 years. A couple of reasons, one, I do enjoy the solitude. Two, the spots we had back in the day were lost to farm sales and clubs. Career wise, I never really had the time to seek out and find new private land to use in the southern zone. My question is what is the hunting like these days on State land? I'm in Syracuse, so I'm thinking about the central corridor down to the southern tier? Is it still over run with folks? I only hear the bad, not so much of what could be the good....share your thoughts. I do pass by a ton of it in my travels, just wondering if I should stop and explore. Thanks
  2. I primarily hunt in the Indian Lake/Minerva area. Verizon did put a booster on the water tower in town and we get coverage at our camp. Same goes for Minerva....obviously the higher your up the better. Its not coverage like you're used to down south, but enough to call/text home. I personally dont want anymore coverage up there. One of our guys does have a SAT phone for emergencies.
  3. Anybody hunt 6K? I have an opportunity to hunt a new spot and it looks to me like its Northern zone...thought somebody could confirm. Its east of Rt 11 and north of 49. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks
