    I swear there are two types of posts on this forum. Group 1: Sat for 10 hrs. freezing my @ss off and didn't see an "F"ing thing. (I'm in this group) Group 2:Ran out for a quick sit in my heated buddy blind on the edge of one of our 200 ac. food plots. Had 3 "small" 4.5 yr old nine points come under my stand but I gave them a pass (waiting on their grandfather!!) and 26 annoying doe roaming around me all day. Slow day , well maybe tomorrow will be better, wish me luck. God how I want to join group 2....

    Deer were feeding in my fields well before dawn and had moved out by 6:30. There may be some afternoon moment but I'm not going to be able to get out until this evening.

    I'm in the same boat, I have a 3 o'clock that I'm hoping get canceled so I can sneak out and get in on all this action I'm hearing about in 8F.

    Checking the weather here in 8F shows a significant temperature drop on Tuesday and Wednesday (Nov 2nd) ironically enough. There's actually a chance of snow Wednesday. Hopefully the change will get them up and moving a little more because all I've seen out there is 1 chipmunk.

    That stinks but at least no one was in the stand when it happened. I noticed a standing dead tree next to one of my stands that needs to come down this winter.

    I just got settled. I have one bow stand that is setup for an east wind and I don't want to waste the opportunity.

    They are literally taunting me in the back yard with their beady little eyes.

    The only issue is access. That area is incredibly thick and wet. The old logging road is filled with tops that the logger was supposed to clear. I'll probably sneak in there for gun season.

    Have you got that doe on a leash because it looks like there is a chain on the ground.

    Took the kids out on the 4 wheeler on the logging trails. Found this scrape and rub right next to each other . Used my son for size reference.

    I don't know if it's just my area but the deer on my property still seem to be moving more at night. I came out of the woods at 6:30 last night after no action. At 8:30 I had 9 doe in the field 100 yards from my stand. Waiting for that shift when they start moving more during daylight.

    If your furnace is older I would agree with those who recommend looking at a new direct vent. I replaced my old oil furnace two years ago with a high efficiency propane. E&V did the install and financing. Payment is $125 per month but I'm saving about $200 per month in fuel cost during the winter.

    46* here in 8f. The sky is getting dark and the temp is dropping, hope the rain holds off. Neighbor is out on his 4 wheeler. Hope he pushes something my way.

    Couldn't get out this morning (family pictures day) but it sounds like things were kind of slow. I'll be heading out soon. I would like to be in the stand by 2 and sit till dark. Hopefully we all see a little more action this evening.

    I don't know about anywhere else but here in 8F the wind has picked up and is swirling. It was out of the west this morning but now it is coming from the SSE.
