After hooking it with a topwater lure resembling a frog, Schultz fought the fish for more than an hour and got it into his kayak without the use of a net.</p> <p>His grandfather, James Stoutenger, also of DeWitt, who was nearby and also in a kayak, assisted him.</p> <p>Schultz brought the fish to shore and gave it away.
