He got in Kirkville. It weighed 20 pounds and had a 9-inch beard.

Mike Sicilia, 13, of East Syracuse, poses with his first wild turkey,which he took during the state-wide special Turkey Youth Hunt weekend.

He shot it Saturday in Kirkville while hunting with Tim Chick as his adult mentor.

The bird weighed 20 pounds, had a 9-inch beard and spurs that measured 1 1/4 inches.
