She caught it on a worm.

Mersadiz Hayes, 17, of Syracuse. is all smiles as she holds up a 16-inch yellow perch she caught recently while fishing on Skaneateles Lake.

She caught it on a worm and released it after the photo was taken.

Hayes was fishing at the time with her friend, Nicole DeAngelis and her father, Mark, both of Syracuse.
