Bob Kuzawski, of Oswego, holds up a longnose gar he caught recently while fishing on Little Sodus Bay on Lake Ontario.

Breezy AuClair, who was with him at the time, wrote: "Bob caught what is according to the DEC website a living fossil.

" I personally in fishing for 50 years have only seen one and this is the first one I've ever seen caught. It was approximately 2 feet long and was released after this photo was taken."
