One was a nine pointer; the other, eight points.

It was a great opening day this season for Michael Juskow and his hunting buddy, Tim Macko Jr.

The two were hunting Nov. 16 on private land in Chenango County. Juskow, of Pennellville, (left) shot a nice, 9-point buck. A couple of hours later, Macko, of North Syracuse, got an 8-point.
