The slight breeze made things even colder.</p> <p>I spotted two ice fishermen out on the ice and decided to see how they were doing. One declined to give his name, but did say he was "warm and toasty" inside his portable ice shanty, thanks to his portable heater.</p> <p>Another angler, Jamie Randall, of North Syracuse, said he'd just gotten on the ice and with his heater, lunch and a couple of drinks was prepared to stay out for hours.</p> <p>I was good for only about hour on the ice before my feet got cold. </p> View the full article on The Syracuse Outdoors Blog Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
