Syracuse.com - Central New York runners have 5K, 10K and half marathon to choose from this weekend

The 5K is in Westvale. The 10K and half marathon start on the Cornell University campus.

This weekend's Central New York running scene offers two races Sunday.

The Paint Westvale Purple Kids' Fun Run and 5K Run/Walk is set for 10 a.m., starting at the Cherry Road School, 201 Cherry Road in Westvale. The event is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

The 33rd annual Skunk Cabbage Classic Half Marathon and 10 K is co-sponsored by the Finger Lakes Runners Club and the Cornell Athletic Department.

The half marathon beings at 10 a.m., the 10 K at 10: 15. Both races start on Campus Road below Barton Hall on the Cornell University campus.
