Lake Erie duck hunting

Hey everyone i'm new to this site i've posted on other sites with no response i'm trying to get an idea about hunting ducks on lake Erie i do most of my hunting on chautauqua lake and i'd really like to give lake Erie a try. I'll most likely be hunting from shore curious on success rate, maybe some tips anything will help thanks!!

Be careful...she is a mean old girl this time of year. I'd be interested in seeing what guys have to say. I live about 1/4 mile from the lake right off the Pinehurst shoals...my freakin house was rockin from the wind coming off that monster tonight.

I do some trolling out of my kayak down there in the spring and fall but your right you have to pick your days right haha hoping someone has given it a shot other than using layout boats. Think i'm mostly curious to know if antyhing will fly in to decoys close to shore maybe locating a food source will be the first step.
