Duck Hunter Drowns

This a.m., a man drowned in blind creek cove, part of sandy pond. He was in a kayak, no life vest, and didnt know how to swim. In ten feet of water. Very strange. I was deer hunting about 3 miles from the site. Very unfortunate, but why? If you cant swim, u should never ever be in a kayak, let alone with no life jacket. That is sad. State Law must wear a life vest after Nov 1. When I was young I swam competitively and and did the lifeguard thing. Don't care how good a swimmer you are. If the water is cold, you're screwed. I feel for the person and their family, especially at this time of year. God Bless.
