First came the cancellation of the Northeastern Sports Show, which had been set for next month.

This week I received another bit of bad news. The Syracuse Ice Fishing Show, which has been held for the past three years in early December at the OnCenter Convention Center, has been cancelled.

Responding to my email inquiring about the status of the show, Vilma Fraguada, a spokeswoman for Affinity Events, said simply: “We will not be producing the ice fishing show this year. Hopefully, we will be able to get more retail presence at the show for future events.”
