Deb and Ed Tanguay at Marsh Mill Ranch in Kirkville said they've had their hands full this hunting season, with more deer being brought in than ever. At one point, they had to stop accepting carcasses because so many were being brought in -- the first time they've done that in their more than 20 years in business.

Other meat processers told me they have been particularly busy this season -- especially after opening weekend of the Southern Zone firearms season.
