Connor Westfalls, 13, poses with his 15.5 pound turkey he shot the opening morning of the Youth Turkey Hunt Weekend in Madison County.

The bird sported a 8.5 in. beard and had 1-inch spurs. Connor goes to Cazenovia Central School and "he's quite the outdoorsman and a great hunter," according to Jeffrey Wheeler, who sent the photo.
