  1. This is what the squirrels are doing near me. http://i.makeagif.com/save/qhSZdk
  2. In the stands for an afternoon hunt. Man it's warm today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. So far nothing but squirrels for me. Someone near by has let a few shots go though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. First day out with gun. I hiked in and it's pretty fricking dark and I hear a shot. Some numb nuts is already shooting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. You know I wasn't sure about Westchester rules either, so I looked it up. If I'm reading this correctly, then regular season starts October 1st so there's no reason why he can't use his buck tag...I think I owe you an apology. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. No you hunt all year round with a bow. But can only take a buck (or doe as your archery tag should be "either sex"). Then you have to wait till regular season to use your "buck only" tag. It's intentionally done this way because harvesting a buck is relatively rare and more coveted and it's unfair to have one hunter be able to harvest two bucks before regular season even starts. You CAN shoot two bucks in a year....as long as you abide by the season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I'm new to blind hunting. I hunt public land so it's pretty much what I bring in with me. I don't want to introduce a blind to an area, as that's a clear red flag to the deer. Someday I'll have access to private land and would love to hunt out of a blind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Not so crazy about the blind, seems awfully big, but they make some awesome looking stands. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. a little windy this morning. Dropped a "buck bomb" and tried to get it downwind of me, but somehow, I'm still drenched in it. Can't wait to see the wife's face when I meet her and the kids at the Halloween party. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I'd like to see this as well. Did you make it lighter by changing the seat? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I use the the summit open shot. I love it. I hunt public land so I have to bring my stand in and out with me. It's 15 lbs, and pretty comfortable to sit in. I've done all day hunts in it. I stand a lot as well and having no bar in front is a huge plus for bow hunting. I added molle straps to distribute the weight on my hips, now I barely feel it. I strap a small backpack to the stand and carry the whole thing on my back. I carry my bow. It gets awfully spooky trekking in the early morning. I like having a weapon in hand. 12. Me too, except cart. I need one of those. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have this thermos and I love it. Nothing like a hot beverage or soup on a cold hunt. I replaced the metal spoon that came with it though, it made too much noise. A plastic (sorry autocorrect) spoon is much better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Three small doe came by and got spooked. Away they go...
