  1. mbucks....you have a good eye buddy! wow!
  2. Those are some great tips my friend!! Fleur is doing great. My yellow lab had some nice unassisted finds as well this year for the first time. I have 2 videos over at youtube maybe you'd enjoy.....one covers the training and the other is a training exercise in the middle of a 2 antler day in Ohio....Thanks for watching!! My websight is www.boneheadpro.com to see all my shed hunting videos.....but here are the hyperlinks to 3 videos you may be interested in seeing: You'll find my exercise with Zeke here at 2:11 in this video: You'll see a small training video I did with Zeke on this video here: http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aafQtxlnIQs Starting at about the 1:50 mark in this video you'll see Zeke pick up a small 5" spike:
  3. Love days like that> great hike in IA my friend!!! Keep it up!!!
  4. Hope its OK that I add my videos to this thread. Ive gotten into the videoing aspect more than just taking pics straight down at an antler. SHED ANTLER HUNT MAR 22, 2011
  5. Latest shedvideo....hope all you guys are finding them too!! SHED ANTLER HUNT MAR 22, 2011
  6. Thanks bball. Very cool you like. This is my second shed dog I've trained and what im doing seems to be working pretty well....I have some more tricks up my sleeve Im saving for my websight and DVD Id like to sell to at least pay for my websight Im setting up. Just bought my domain today and have more footage to obtain with Zeke doing the things Im trying to explain. ONce I put it all together in a month or so I should have a good product. I'll have tons of photos and videos of real shed hunts too....considering most don't find many sheds in a given year here on the east coast, I think my record proves itself that maybe I have a few secrets most don't adhere to when shed hutning and especially with a dog. I hope my passion translates to more sheds for you guys....Im forming more ideas by the day for the website, training Zeke and video on just plain becoming a better shed hunter really....so please stand by I'l share the website when it comes up and running.
  7. Id love to post that video buddy! LOL here it is. Just remember, it took a month or so to get to the point you're seeing in the video. At this point in the shed season (mid March and only a few weeks from spring green up) you're looking at just taking him for a walk, I wouldn't expect too much in results. If you start RIGHT NOW and work with him for 15 minutes a night every day you get home you MIGHT be able to go on a shed hunt where you might expect limited results first to second week in April. Lots too it, but its a start getting your dog out there learning to maneuver around logs and brush etc. I hope this video helps you get started... Im at the point now where im building my own websight and goign to use my youtube video into a "promo video" and going to make a longer video showinfg advanced and medium techniques to build your dog into a shed hunting machine. Its a lot of fun and want to show guys that shed hunting with their dog is a blast! TRAINING YOUR SHED ANTLER DOG
