  1. It’s just crazy , I can’t see the prices going down either . Probably level off after awhile but I doubt they will drop.. I think 400k is the new normal
  2. Agree .. most are going for thousands over assessment
  3. How about the old retired guys that want a more modern home
  4. I’m not sure I have a problem, mine was minor seepage that I picked up with a towel, and one time in the last 36 years around a floor drain that I used a shop vac
  5. So if you have been there , what did u do ?
  6. It’s crazy .. houses selling for 450 assessment 150
  7. Friend of mine is raking in the cash ! Sold over 9 million last year , there houses today ! Not sure how long it will last but she’s doing VERY well !
  8. We don’t have a crock or sump pump and I’m hesitant to break the slab and put one in ! One reason is we are planning to move into a townhouse where all maintenance is done then we are free to travel / motorhome ? Whatever second reason , then it may introduce more water .. Right now its rare and when it does happen it’s a shop vac or a couple towels but is an annoyance anyway
  9. Id almost just epoxy paint and have a couple decorative throw rugs . I’d also rather not have a basement
  10. I gave mine and the free masks to my neighbors . They rarely leave the house. Both vaccinated and boosted . They are in their 70s but with the media talk and listening they are scared to death .
  11. You’re a better man than me . I’d give up on finishing it and paint the floor and put everything on blocks. Uggg now it’s supposed to warm up Tomorrow and rain Tuesday then back below freezing Are we going to have a repeat ?
  12. Ha I’m moving , let someone else deal with it if it happens again . Ive never had standing water only seepage a couple times and a shop vac or towels sucked it up But instill say basements are a PITA
  13. Yea but what about if your house was built in the 50s
  14. What about the furnace ? Did it stay dry
  15. Ahh I thought it was your basement
  16. Sucks , seems like you plug up one spot and it just pushes it elsewhere.. Why is it even leaking in now ?? I didn’t think we had that much rain .. Mine was just a spot along my front wall about 2ft long and I soaked it up with a towel .. Im wondering if I should put in a crock. We are selling as soon as we find a place . Kinda thinking of someplace with an HOA and I pay a fee per month and they take care of lawn and snow removal . Then we can travel it maybe buy a camp up north etc . Im tired of constant maintenance
  17. Ugggg … I almost wish I didn’t have a basement
  18. Agree ,,, I end up working all day , then blowing , shoveling snow at my house and the old folks across the street. Then mowing , raking leaves , cleaning gutters all summer and fall . Couple that with working on everyone’s stuff in the neighborhood , I’m just tired .. I want to be able to grab the wife and dog and take off and not worry about water I basements , snow melt , gutters , all the other crap . My buddy leases a townhouse and he said he loves it .. Not sure I’ve always owned my own house … but it’s getting old real fast ..
  19. I’m so tired of dealing with homeowner issues
  20. Where u at ? I got a couple spots too ,,, damm I didn’t think we had that much rain, Im getting to the point of renting or leasing a townhouse or something I’m getting older and don’t want to deal with any issues , maintenance etc
  21. Don’t forget Heids for a dog !
  22. I like sushi but Scotch and Sirloin is great if u like good steak and drinks . Oriental Star I’d great for fresh sushi
