Seriously? I have like 15 boxes of it for my 30-30. Maybe I can retire now.
Pretty much. Id go as far to say that all 3030 is scarce.

Probably the only shot you took with that gun on that outing. That ammo is rare as hens teeth these days!

Aint nothing new about the whipped cream/nitrous! I was 17 once....you used to be able to buy the nitrous cylinders over the counter.
Head shops sell them by the case. Whippits.

Rode over a yellow jacket nest on my dirt bike once. Those things swarmed up in my helmet and stung the crap out of me. Miserable experience.

Used a 8 inch Dan Wesson .44, for a few years, worked just fine , but most of my gun kills aren’t that far ,bow range plus .
My only concern was seeing a large buck to far for my abilities with it .
Thats why i always carry the rifle for back up. That would be just my luck to have that happen.

I haven’t connected yet, but the 29-2 .44 magnum will be in my backpack all gun season. Last year opening day i had the hammer back and sights aligned on a fat doe but let her go hoping my wife would wack her a few hundred yards away. The deer never crossed her lanes. I wont make that mistake again! However moments before i killed a nice 8 point (rifle kill .222 Remington) so i was still on cloud nine!

Im looking at the Hawk 1.5 stands. (big Denali or something like that) In the past i have used the big game brand while they are decent the seats kind of suck. Both are under 200.

Love those old pumps. My grandfather has a 16 gauge version. They cycle so smooth its like the action runs on bearings.

None of the above. Learn how to walk in the woods and sit still. Then buy a bunch of junk.

idk man, the SSTs I thought were a lot faster flying round and that's where you could argue they wouldn't expand because of speed. They would be more likely to expand at a slower velocity.
I ment the slug is going significantly slower that a .243 Winchester or any rifle round for that matter.

That can be good or bad, depending on where they hit. I put a couple thru a buck’s chops, mid way back, a few years ago (due to a busted scope) and I was very surprised at how little meat was destroyed.
Tracking is definitely tougher on center-lung hits, because the expansion is negligible and the exit hole is small. A plain old, full-diameter foster slug leaves much better blood trails on hits like that.
I usually try to aim for the shoulder blade with the 12 ga SST’s. They are DRT every time, if I hit it. The meat damage on those shoulder blade hits, with that 12 ga SST, is no where near as bad as when a .243 hits there.
The reason the sst slug leaves less damage is because most of the time they don’t expand. Generally they punch a clean hole at relatively low velocities. I have seen a pile of the 12 gauge flavor ( few 20’s) at the neighbors butcher shop. Usually found in the opposite hip or shoulder. Most of them were just bent, sometimes missing all or most of the red rubber tip. However, i use them with great success because that’s generally all i can find. I only use the 1100 on occasion as a novelty on a sunny day, so my stash will last a lifetime plus.

I received a red ryder at age 5 for Christmas. Few years later i stepped up to a Crosman powermaster 66. I hardly ever used bb’s in that thing. Always pointed pellets and pumped to the max, thought i was badass scope and all. When i turned 12 i was gifted a ruger 10/22, never shot the pellet gun again hahaha.

Lots of apples on most of the wild trees on our properties, but man is there a ton of fire blight this year, too. I've never seen so much, from apples to pears, young and old trees alike.
This year we had the worst fire blight conditions I have ever seen. It was for a very extended period as well.

All my farms are loaded. Wayne county, hope the rain keeps coming. I didnt thin as heavily this year so places that i dont have on irrigation will need the water.
