It all depends on the area though. All the teachers I know make over $125K and some over $150K. All of them are under 40 years old.
SeethroughNY.net you can look up any NYS teacher, cop, fireman or state/county employee salary to verify.

Ive got a couple rifles that weigh about 2 lbs more. LOL
If you're into it for the challenge, go for it. If it's for some perceived notion of convenience, forget it. And if you enjoy eating venison, REALLY forget it.
It is definitely convenient, especially when I used to do deer drives.

Make one of those bucket traps. The ones where they climb up try to get peanut butter off spinning bottle and drop in bucket. Works really well, and catches a lot without resetting

Yes it’s been insane for a while now. Primers is worse than powder

Now that I have a full carry in CT (unlike Westchester County, NY), I have been thinking about getting something to carry once in a while (big grocery stores, festivals/carnivals, hiking, etc.). Any suggestions? and holster suggestions as well?
I have a S&W .357 chief 60 with 2" barrel but it's obviously not super accurate.

The small key chain stuff can be sold by gun shops and pharmacies of all places . I’d go for, pepper gel and a much larger size , either a “ can “ or “ half can “ size . Buy a few so one cam practice .
Buy it on vacation out of state or if you spend enough time looking online you will at one point find someone who’ll ship it to you in NYS .
Sabre Red is a proven one I’ve heard
I wouldn’t recommend the gel. My department had it and did away with it. Was not nearly as effective as the spray

Just to be clear, most body armor does NOT stop a rifle round. Right through both sides like nothing

Yep my diamond guy does that stand outside press a button , while on camera answer who it is , get buzzed in to next area, when outside door closes , you then make it into waiting area, after which you’ll be let in .
Background check, Lol . You realize buying just one a box of 50 a person could shoot 50 people right ?
I buy by the case for several reasons , one being I can go through a couple hundred rounds in a morning , add in inflation ( i still have 50 round boxes of 9mm that I paid $9 for ) , plus I’m a forward thinking guy , Hell now we have gun owners wanting a “ flag “ when someone buys more ammo then they do . Awesome .
Exactly, one box of 50 is plenty to do bad things.

In my life I probably have bought at 1 time shells for skeet shooting maybe 10 boxes and 5 boxes of slugs for deer season. When you bought your ammo was there any back ground checks because you bought so much? Just asking and if not maybe we need a trip wire there in the system to flag this.
Sounds like you would be a good fit for the Biden administration.
That’s you. Obviously you don’t shoot that much. I have bought 1k rounds on many occasions and burned them up. I remember when I used to get them for $80 a thousand.

Yes, yes I do think it would stop them! A metal detector before a locked door is very effective in keeping guns out of a school if the person”s” running them do their.
I have zero issues with the government spending money to make schools safer, my issue is wasting money. Paying 1 armed guy to watch cameras is an asinine idea from a security standpoint.
I want schools to spend money on keeping the assholes out of the schools!
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkWow, well since you actually believe metal detectors would stop these school shootings I’m going to just have to completely disagree and not waste any more time.

I was unaware that there was a rule stating schools need to have glass doors? Changing exterior doors to steel and adding a few metal detectors is way more effective and cheaper than paying a a dude to sit in a room with a gun…
I don’t have a glass door in my house for a reason, why is it necessary for schools to?
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI don’t think you are really thinking it through. Talk about feel good stuff. Metal detectors are just that. Do you really believe a metal detector would have stopped any of these kids? And ok make the doors metal, are you going to close off all the windows too? What are you worried about paying someone? I said the federal govt should since they throw money around at everything else.

No ,we need to label mentally ill people as such and make sure they are treated accordingly.
Agreed, that’s another problem. Nothing is going to be 100 percent. But having a trained officer with a rifle in every school would make by far the biggest difference. These pu$$ies just want to kill without the chance of someone doing the same back.

Why is it so hard to keep schools locked ?
Obviously that always needs to be the case. Do you honestly think that solves the problem?

Nothing like waterfowl hunting with a well trained retriever. Assuming he’s not steady yet by seeing leash. Tough to do sometimes but until my dogs were rock solid I would not shoot and just watch and correct the dog while others shot.
