  1. Dropped my boy off last week at college, that was heart wrenching. It's all sad but is the next stepping stone in his life. Two other children start HS tomorrow, daughter a sophmore and my youngest boy a freshman. Time sure does fly.

  2. I'm a Massey guy and for a little more change then the 35k put me into a 60hp 4x4 geared tractor with a loader, always go bigger hp than you think you might need. I'm on my 3rd Massey in last 10 years or so, went from a 30hp hydro to a 39hp hydro to now a 60hp geared. Thanfully trade in value iwith tractors is really good. Takes getting used to a geared over hydro but with 6 hours on it so far I'm getting the hang of it.  I also went with the R1 (ag) tires over my 2 previous tractors that had R4 tires. I felt the R4  slipped alot in snow and on some of the steeper areas on my property that I mow. So far pretty impressed with the new Massey. Pic. of the new toy.

  4. I remember at one time I was told to hush up for defending you guys that never got your HNY memorabilia,  that mod said he was working very closely with John to get that all squared away. Guess you guys all got screwed and that mods attempt went on deaf ears. Oh well, live and learn people, live and learn.

  5. It pays to find a used finish mower, I have been using a 5ft mower on the back of my compact 40hp tractor for years now and has served me well with very high grass, plots etc.. I only keep the rear 2 tires on and use the 3 point hitch to dictate the hieght at the front. I felt that the front tires always got caught up on things and a couple times came off. Works same concept as a brush hog but more stable with two rear solid tires. If your looking to blast thru saplings then brush hog is way to go, if not, go with a used finish mower, I have used mine on grass in excess of a foot long with no issue.

Stewarts wants me to train to run one of their stores but after 22 years of doing whatever i want, how i want, when i want, however i want, I'm not sure how well i would get a long there but it is an option and one I am thinking about...

Sorry for the job loss but to be honest there are not many jobs out there where you can do what you want unless you are self employed. Best of luck

Outstanding!! My daughter got a card from their softball coach at a tourny in Pa

I miss that part of the whole process, nothing  made be prouder as a dad  when we went to tourneys / showcases and after the game  he would be approached by new college coaches and also coaches that were actively following him, was a great maturing process and experience for him. I never got involved in the discussions,  he carried the conversations will all the coaches, sent videos, did follow ups. Guess when you want something bad enough, you go full tilt.
