  1. Well the young ones and ewes aren't bad but these old rams are 8-15 yrs old and tough as leather. It's a tough stringy meat and it never quite breaks down. I make some sausage mixed with some wild hog and it's pretty good but whole cuts of meat are a waste of your time
  2. Argentina is on my bucket list!!! No limits on dove, shoot hundreds of birds every day, improve your shooting, be waited on hand and foot, amazing food and wine and everything is 5 stars including the service. You get to be treated like a king for a few days and spend time with friends and family without breaking the bank!!!! My fiancé has been begging me for a year now to go!!
  3. It is something you can do! Where there is a will there is a way. If my hunts are out of your budget I'm always more than happy to refer you to someone cheaper and give info on DIY hunts. Feel free to contact me anytime I'm here to help wether you book with me or not.
  4. I'm here to help that is all. I believe in what I'm selling and I am passionate about what I do and sharing it with others. I plan on making a living on what I love and what I do best. I've been hunting since I was 3 months old and it was my late fathers passion that has inspired me to do so. I could not be more excited to have the ability to give my children the limitless oppritunities to do the same while being able to support my family doing what I love. We strive to get better and better every year. If this thread is considered a nucience I urge mods to please remove. I do believe no one offers a better deal in the state of Texas. Like I've said before I do my best to not just advertise but also to be a contributing member on the forums I advertise on. Hunting, Horses and family are my life. I am also interested in finding oprutunitys to hunt with one of y'all in New York. I visit upstate at least twice a year to visit family from buffalo and camilus and am fascinated by the passion of New Yorkers and Thier hunting. The reason yall inspire me is the fact that big deer are few and far between and yall are just as excited to get out and hunt even if you know your not going to break a record. In Texas hunting is becoming shopping for wall decor in pens and paying tens of thousands of dollars for an animal and not a hunt. I aim to be the exception.
  5. We also have family that travel back and forth between the ranch and NY fairly frequently .
  6. It can most certainly be arranged through our local taxidermist/processor but it is not included in the cost of the hunt.
  7. The problem with that is you will scare away the best deals. Do you want the cost of advertising included in your hunt?
  8. All I can say is that on our Texas hunting forum we have a guides and outfitters section and it is treasured. The forum has over 50,000 users I believe and outfitters sell a lot of hunts to members however they are held accountable by members . If someone has s bad hunt trust you will hear about it and the bad guys are weeded out quickly and chances are there are members that have hunted with them so it's easy to get accurate reviews and not waste money. It also keeps prices down and competition stiff. Your also welcome to review, discuss ect. In that section and most everyone views it as an invaluable asset to the forum. But all outfitter and guide adds are in that section and it is regulated. To say the entire forum will become an ad is a bit dramatic.
  9. It is for that reason I offer a variety of hunts. But if your a big fair-chase free range fella you should check out our free-range Aoudad hunts. There is no greater challenge in Texas than that. You will be pushed to your extremes and after 3-4 days of chasing these things through the Chinati Mountians you'll be begging for a helicopter, a ar-15 and a doctor. Here's a short video taken by a customer.
  10. My fiancé is right there with me on most hunts
  11. The ranch in the videos would be the cow creek ranch whereas the ranch we hunt our white tails on is a choice of 2 ranches the U bar ranch=HF or the Sycamore Creek Ranch =LF. Both owned by a native New Yorker.
  12. This is a different ranch. I have 11 different Ranches I hunt. Some like the ones in the videos are strictly for aoudad and all of my aoudad hunts are free range.
  13. I would suggest January when food is scarce and they'll come running to the sound of two rocks clacking together. And don't feel bad my blood freezes at 31 F. Before when I guided New Yorkers I would be under 5 layers and a set of Carhart Blizzard bibs they're on the high rack of the ranger in a long sleeve shirt and jeans.
  14. The predator hog combo is one of my favorite hunts! It takes place in the high desert Chinati Mountains and there are tons of coyotes, bobcats, foxes and even the occasional Cougar. The hogs and Javelina come running to predator calls charging with jaws clapping right into your lap. It's about the most dangerous game in Texas. The views are breath taking and we hunt morning, evenings and all night if you choose. It's often said that the best rifleman are predator hunters and this is very true. The first coyote you fold at a full run 350 yrds out is a thrill like no other!
  15. And btw our landowner is a born and raised New Yorker from Camilus, NY and went to NY state.
  16. I appologize I thought this was the correct place for guides and outfitters. I wasn't aware fellow hunters could be so harsh and attacking.
  17. I also have free range elk hunts in Texas they're just much more expensive.
  18. I've had everything from a 50% tip to no tip. The 50% tip was from a man that's hunted with me for years and at that time I was just a guide and the ranch was selling a $4000 hunt for $1600 so my tips were always 20-30%. But you also have to consider I maintained a 100% success record for 2 years. And the no tip guys I don't think had ever been on a guided hunt and were not aware your supposed to tip.
  19. All of our exotics except aoudad are in a 10,000 acre high fence. But that the only way to protect your investment and keep the 25 acre nieghbors from shooting all your exotics and deer you pay to feed all year.
  20. HF or Low fence it's your choice we own 10,000 acres High Fence and 10,000 low fence about 10 miles apart. And then we have another ranch we hunt muledeer and aoudad on that's 60,000 acres low fence.
  21. Bring him to Texas where there's no minimum age. I shot my first one at age 7 and I took my nephew at age 5 to kill his first one(deer).
