  1. I am selling my 2009 ELITE Z28 with 70lb limbs. It is in Realtree camo and has a 28.5 inch draw length. It has the Z cams which are draw length specific so NO draw modules on this bow. It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. I hunted with it but it is still in near NEW condition. It has JBK string and cables on it. I would say they have 400-500 shots on them. It has custom made side plates/grip that look awesome on the bow. I will also include the stock side plates. I am selling this bow BARE, the only thing extra included is the stock side plates.

You won't be disappointed with this bow!!!!!

Price is $365 shipped to the lower 48 states. NO Trades please.

    PM me with any questions.

    Thanks for looking.

  2. You took your smoker to work?

Yes, I took my smoker to work. I am a fireman so we are lucky enough to have a full kitchen in the firehouse and a gas grill out back. I just set it up outside by the grill. We don't cook meals everyday but overt the years "Sunday Breakfast" has become the meal that is made on a regular basis. Everyone takes a turn buying and cooking breakfast for their shift. As long as the bells aren't ringing and we aren't busy doing something else we all eat breakfast together. It's pretty much our lunch break for the day. I like to try to outdo the other guys when it comes to cooking. When I make breakfast you don't need to eat lunch that day!!!

When we are cooking in the kitchen or on the grill we always shut everything off when the bells ring and we go out on calls. Years ago, (back in the 70's) one of the guys left the stove on and there was a small fire in the firehouse!!! Lol. I have heard rumor another fire dept nearby had a small mishap with a turkey fryer a few years back! Believe me if you were involved in a mishap like these you would get your chops busted constantly for the rest of your career. If the bells started ringing while my smoker was still on I would have sprinted out back to unplug it first!

  3. Sausage Fatty that is!!!

I got this idea from the forum for my electric smoker and had to give it a try. I took a pound of venison sausage and rolled it out in a zip lock bag. Once you have the sausage all smoothed out cut the 2 sides of the bag and fold it off to the side. Next lay out all the fixings you want in the sausage, I went with ham, cheese, and a few home fries. I was going to put scrambled eggs in it but I prepared this late at night and didn't feel like cooking the eggs. You can stuff it with whatever you like Once you have all your fixings in it roll it up so everything with stay inside. Then I took 12-14 slices of bacon and laid them flat on the other slide of the zip lock bag. Weave the bacon strips together so it with stay on the sausage better. (there are a bunch of videos on you tube to show you how). Then take your sausage and roll it over the bacon so it covers the sausage roll. The bacon was a little short from going all the way around the sausage but it held fine and I didn't use any toothpicks. I left it in the fridge overnight. I woke up at 6 this morning to get it in the smoker because I had to be to work at 8. After about an hour and a half I took my smoker to work and cooked it until it was done. I cooked it at 225 degrees for 3 hours total until the internal temp was 160 degrees. I used 2 ounces of apple wood chips. Here's what it looked like. It was incredible!!

    Give it a try sometime.

  4. whats the time/temp for the jerky? anyone can chime in

I did mine at 160 for 6-8 hours. I guess it depends on what you are making it in. You can make jerky in an oven but 180 degrees is the lowest temperature my oven will cook at. Smokers and dehydrators can cook at temperatures from 100-120 degrees and up. I check mine every hour after the first 4 hours. I put a small fan on top of the smoke hole on my smoker after about 2 hours (or whenever the smoke chips have stopped smoking). The fan helps draw the moisture out of the jerky.

  5. I used to hunt with my 11-87 but have since switched to a Browning BAR in 30-06. I actually had a brand new rifled barrel for it at one time. At the time I hunted the northern zone with my rifle and used the 11-87 for ducks. After a couple years I sold the rifles barrel because I couldn't find a place to hunt in the southern zone. A year or 2 later I got permission to hunt a nice property in the southern zone. I ended up buying a smooth barrel with a rifled choke tube from the guy I sold my barrel to.

I shot cheapo Remington slugger slugs with my 11-87. I killed 7-8 deer with it. I never had any problems with this set up. I had my scope dialed in at 75 yards. After 75 yards those pumpkins really started dropping!!!!! LOL

  6. I would say it's worth it if you don't fish. Your tags are mailed to you every year, no waiting in line. My doe permits are free because I bought mine about 15 or 16 years ago. I'm not sure if the doe permits are still free for new lifetime members. I thought I heard rumor NY was going to try to make newer lifetime license holders pay?

I bought mine when it was $500 for the sportsman including fishing. I added the lifetime muzzleloader to it for $125 and a couple years later the lifetime archery for $180. Best money I ever spent!!!
Obviously, all those prices have gone up.

I bought my son a lifetime sportsman license right before he turned 3 years old for $300. The lady asked me "how do you know your so is going to want to hunt?" I said to her the way the prices are going up it's worth it just so he can go fishing!!!

Buy it, you won't regret it.

  7. I'm selling a very nice RWS Model 34 .177 caliber break barrel pellet gun. It is a Diana model made in West Germany. It has a metal safety and "cocking assist handle" on the end of the barrel. I had this l listed a while back with the scope but I have since sold the scope. I am selling it with the scope base AND scope rings.  I believe it has an adjustable trigger as well.  It is in very good condition, in has some slight marks on the stock. I will include whatever .177 pellets I have, maybe 3-400 pellets. I'm asking $150 plus shipping. I'm located about 5 minutes north of exit 28 (Fonda) of the NYS Thruway if anyone local is interested. Sorry no trades at this time.

Here is a picture with the scope I sold. SCOPE IS NOT INCLUDED! PM me if you would like more pictures.

    Thanks for looking.
