  1. I am listing this truck for a fellow firefighter I have worked with for the past 15 years. He recently retired, and bought a home in Florida. I offered to help him sell the truck because he doesn't have internet at his NY home anymore, he is waiting on the closing of his NY home. Anyway, here's a description:

I have just recently retired and purchased a home in Florida so I'm selling my truck. It is a 1994 Chevy Z-71 Stepside, 4X4, with a 350 V8 engine (automatic). It has 94,700+ miles on it and has been garage kept since I bought it.  It has a cloth interior that is in good condition. I would rate the overall condition of the truck as fair just because it does have some rust. I am the original owner and changed the oil every 3,000 miles. It has been a very dependable truck and it runs great! It has never had any major issues and has only required routine upkeep: oil changes, brakes, tires, etc. The truck is located in Gloversville, NY, which is about 6 miles north of exit 28 of the NYS Thruway (Fonda/Fultonville). Price is $3,200 OBO. Please call or text me at:

    352-603-9590

    Thanks

  2. I'm listing a very nice set of Adirondack China for a friend of mine. He has sold his log cabin and is moving to Florida. He has decided to sell this collection because it doesn't match the decor of his new home. The collection includes servings for four which consists of soup bowls, cups and saucers, dinner plates and smaller plates. I believe these were used mostly for display purposes. They were purchased new from a store in Lake Placid so they weren't cheap! Price is $100. Buyer must pick up in the Gloversville, Johnstown, Amsterdam area. My friends name is Nelson, his number is 352-603-9590.

    Thanks

  3. I am selling my 2008 Bowtech 82nd Airborne. It has 70lb limbs and has the QB2.5 mods making the draw length 29 inches. This is an awesome bow and super fast! I killed my best buck with this bow. I am only selling it because I want to try an shorter axel to axel bow. Bow is in great shape. I selling the bare bow for $375 shipped OBO. I'm located just north of exit 28 of the Thruway (Fonda) if anyone wants to come see it in person. I will post pictures soon. Send me a name and number to reach you at or PM me. Thanks

  4. I bought this router and table a few years back and have never used it. I put the table together for it but never got around to using it. It is a Craftman 2 hp 10 amp router with 1/4 inch collet. I don't have any bits for it, another reason I never used it.

Anyway, I'll entertain trades, I mostly bowhunt so I guess that's what I'm looking for mostly. I could used a nice stabilizer in realtree ap, betwee 6-8 inches. Let me know what you have. I'm located just north of exit 28 (fonda) in Johnstown. I'd prefer not to ship this. I paid around $120 new, I would sell it for $90. PM me any questions.

    Thanks

    Mike

  5. We drive through the campus on our way to hunt. My buddy and his dad saw this buck Thanksgiving morning. My buddy said it was the biggest buck he's ever seen alive. In the dark he said this buck goes 150-160 easy. He'll be excited to see him in the daylight.

There are nice bucks close to the Cornell campus. I hit one with my truck crossing the road from the golf course about 3 or 4 years ago. It is a 30MPH speed zone. I never saw the buck before it was too late, I broke his back leg. We had to call a police officer to come put him down. It may be the only time I ever see a buck lying about 10 feet from a sidewalk with people walking around!!!!! It's amazing to see nice bucks in such populated area.

  6. My buddy caught a glimpse of a huge buck on the Cornell golf course last weekend, I bet that was him. It's amazing how many deer are within the city in the Ithaca area.

I hit a descent 8 point with my truck about 5 years ago. He was crossing the road from the Cornell golf course. We were returning from a day of hunting. I never saw him til he was across the front of my truck. I hit his back leg and broke it. We called the local police and an officer put him down. The officer said a lot of guys were going to be mad, they had been watching this buck for a while.

  7. I picked up a Buck Roar grunt tube this year. I thought it might scare some smaller bucks away because it has a deep sound. I have actually grunted 2 different young bucks in with it so far. The first was a tall, narrow fork horn that I slowly gurnted in from 75 yards away. I grunted about 12-15 times total and I used a couple bleats off my bleat can as well. I got him to come within 5 yards, which was pretty cool. The second was a small 7 point I grunted in from about 60 yards. He came in ahead of me to my left and after a couple minutes started walking straight away from me. I was pretty aggresive with the call, grunting 4 times quickly at first. I think I grunted another 5 or 6 times as he circled around and came in in front of me at about 20 yards before he busted me.

I was pretty aggresive calling these 2 bucks in but I figured what the heck they are going to walk out of sight anyway. This is the first time I've had luck grunting deer in. I used a True Talker before but never had much luck with it. Obviously, these bucks came in out of curiosity, not looking for a fight, but it was still pretty cool.

    Good luck!

  8. I can assure you the 09 Genoa buck is legit. I hunt a few miles from that area and thought this might have been the buck my buddy missed, but it wasn't the same deer. I have an picture of this buck via email from Gary Dennis from the NYS Big Buck Club. It was the biggest buck taken in the state with a GUN last year. It was taken by Jeremy Parsons, scoring 166-4. I believe it is actually a 9 point. What a beautiful buck!!!!

  9. I just got back from bow hunting in Cayuga county for the last 2 and a half days. I'm amazed at the lack of rubs and scrapes this year. Last season there was plenty of rubs and scrapes the first weekend of bow season. This maybe the first time I have failed to see so little buck sign on our property. We did see a couple small bucks. We actually saw more bucks than does. There are numerous fields in the area with corn that has not been cut yet so I'm sure there are tons of deer hanging out in the corn. The hunting should pick up.

    Any thoughts?

  10. My weekend hunt was terrible. The wind made it tough. I sat in a new stand Sat afternoon hoping it would be a good evening stand, I saw nothing. My buddy's father sat in a ladderstand(used mainly for gun) about 75 yards from my bow stand, he shot and missed twice. One was a doe the other a 6 point. I guess I should have stuck with my regular stand.

My buddy passed on a 3 point and later shot a smaller 7 point. He hit him a little back so decided to wait til morning to look for him. We probably could have found him that night but I'm glad we waited, the area was really thick.

My luck can only get better, it wasn't the opening weekend I had hoped for.

    Good Luck!

  11. I still have a couple things to do. Wash my clothes, pack my backpack. We brush hogged the trails about a month ago and put out a couple more stands and cameras. The place I hunt is 2.5 hours away so I only check them when I go back to hunt. I'm going to hunt Sat and Sun, my wife has weekends off so I try to hunt mostly during the week so I can still be around for "family time".

We had 3 nice bucks on camera after the season in January. I'm pumped but it's going to be tough to beat the 147", 205 pound, 8 point I arrowed on the 2nd day of the season last year!!!!! :)

    Good luck!

    Happy Hunting!

  12. Verizon has pretty good coverage. Right now I pay like $58 for a basic plan, no texts included, no web, and only like 400 minutes a month. For $20 more Sprint offers unlimited texts, mobile to mobile minutes, and unlimited web, which seems like a great deal. My biggest concern is how well the service is in the "roaming" areas.
