  1. I'm thinking of switching from Verizon to Sprint's $69.99 unlimited talk, text, and web plan. I'm just wondering how good their coverage is. It looks like their coverage is best along major highways. I hunt the Finger Lakes area and see on their map that area is a roam area.

Anyone have any like or dislike about Sprint??? Thanks.

    Mike

  2. My buddy is color blind. When I'm tacking a deer his job is to stand at the spot of the last blood found. He does a pretty good job at it!!!!!

I've read about using peroxide but I haven't tried it yet. I'm going to throw a bottle of it in the truck this season to see how it works.

    Good luck.

  3. I always believed it was better to hunt a week or 2 before the shotgun opener (Southern zone). I have killed 3 or 4 deer during this time and hit one I didn't recover.

Last year my buddy called me up and asked me to hunt the second day of the Archery season, Oct 18th I think. We never had much luck that early but I went anyway. It's a 2 and a half hour drive to the property we hunt. After about 30 minutes in my stand I shot the biggest buck in my life! It was a big 8 point that grossed 147, netted 144 7/8, and weighed 205 dressed. I saw 4 other deer that morning to my surprise.

We met a guy that bowhunts down the road from us and went out to lunch with him later in the season. He said he'd rather bowhunt the early season. The deer aren't spooked yet and easier to pattern, especially if you have trail cameras out. I'm a believer now. This season we plan on spending a few more days hunting in October!!!

  4. I'll admit I didn't use one for years. I hunted mostly out of a Tree Lounge climber. I felt very safe climbing up and down with this stand.

After reading about numerous people falling I decided to buy a Loggy Bayou Transformer harness. With 2 kids I can't take a chance of falling. I also added a Fall Guy retractor strap. It is awesome, it works like a seat belt if you were to fall. Only negative is they are around $80 or so. If you have more than one stand it would get expensive quickly.

  5. I bought mine about 6 years ago when it was still $500. I also got the muzzleloader stamp for $125. At that time I didn't bowhunt much so I didn't get it. When I got back into bowhunting the price was up to $180.

I think it was well worth it. I can't tell you how many times I waited in line at Walmart the night or 2 before the season started. What a pain!

I just bought my son his license for $300 before the rates went up. The lady asked me,"You think he'll want to hunt?"

I told her for $300 it's worth it for the fishing license alone!!!!

  6. I have 2 T/C Encores. My first is a S/S Black 50 cal I bought off my buddy for $400. The second is a S/S Camo Prohunter that was an impulse buy. I'm keeping the black one to give to my son when he's old enough.
