  1. So, i have posted these pictures on here before. I have been following this buck for three years now and thought he was gone because i had no pictures or sightings of him last year. Well...I was wrong. I took a drive up to my spot earlier this morning and there he was in broad day light feeding on crab apples. As soon as i saw him i backed out and did not want to risk getting closer for a picture. He seems to have hit his peak as he looks about the same as two years ago for this time of year. I cant wait to get in the woods.

I've never seen him while in a tree.

  2. At what point is hunting no longer hunting with all the technology advancements. I have no range finder, no electronic wind telling device, no ear piece to help me hear game, no rifle that can shoot a million and one yards, no darn electronic anything.

About the most technologically advanced thing i have is a mathews bow lol

Now, some of you guys may be with me on this and some may not, either or is cool with me. I just hunt, i have hunted long enough to know what do to do and i dont need technology to improve my hunting skills. The only way to do that is sit in a tree and watch and learn.

    Whose with me!!

  3. I use carbon out of my mathews heli-m, my old man uses aluminum out of his old school PSE nova. he swears aluminum arrows break through bone better.

He only swears it because he cant hit a deer!

  4. hunting swamps is more simple than most think!! Hunt where the deal will be right on top of you when you see them. Do not try and set up just so you can "see far". Get in tight, stay tight in the brush and youll be successful

  5. Looking for a new group of guys to hunt with this season. Most of my family has moved away and my buddies have flaked away from hunting and don't take it as serious as I do.

And no this is not me just trying to gain access to someone elses plot of land lol. I have plenty of places to go just no one to go with! I always have time seeing as i work as an engineer having 4 days off every week.

I usually hunt Letchworth and various places in Monroe and Livingston county

  6. I can't express how many mature bucks I have killed without spraying a single spray of scent killer on me. To me personally I think scent elimination is a scam to an extent.

  7. This is such a touchy topic lol. Not everyone is a trophy hunter, yet those who are benefit from the AR ( to an extent).

Hunting a hobby for most, the recreational hunter who gets out X number of times a year. We need to learn to  respect those people just like we respect the trophy hunters out there. We all do it because we love it..

  8. 20ga bantam model mossberg 500. Not a big fan of mossberg but i bought one for my girlfriend who recently got her license, (shes 105 pounds) and she says its like shooting a BB gun. Easy to clean and the safety is, well safe. He'll grow out of it relatively quickley but for a gun to make him not shy away and flinch at recoil, its the way to go.

  9. I've taken a bird the past 4 years on state land that's extremely crowded. You have to go where people don't know of or lazy to get to. If there are big hardwoods on the property, that's your best bet. All the state landers hunt the fields... If there's a river bottom, your golden
