  1. How about you tell Shawn that... Im waiting for my personal message to tell me to cool it or im booted again..
  2. Just using it as an example. Shawn banned my reply and reported me as if I insulted his family... So I used other posts as examples, but I know im wasting my time.. I just dont seem to fit in on this site.
  3. HOW ABOUT THIS ONE???? TOTALLY ON TOPIC RIGHT? JUST MY POST WAS THE PROBLEM... WHAT DOES SNORT WHEEZE HAVE TO DO WITH THE PHASE OF THE RUT DURING GUN SEASON?
  4. WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH WHAT PART OF THE RUT IT IS WHEN GUN SEASON OPENS? SHOULD I KEEP GOING? ARE YOU KIDDING ME SHAWN? WHAT LAME ANSWER ARE YOU GOING TO GIVE ME NOW? THAT I DERAILED THE ORIGINAL TOPIC? I THINK YOU ARE PICKING A FIGHT WITH ME... THATS WHAT I THINK... IMMEDIATELY BREAK MY BALLS AS IF I POSTED ABOUT ANTLER RESTRICTIONS AGAIN...
  5. THIS WAS ALSO OFF HIS ORIGINAL TOPIC, BUT MAYBE WE SHOULD HAVE RE-RAILED HIM THE MINUTE HE VEERED OFF COURSE. FORGIVE ME FOR NOT CORRECTING HIM IMMEDIATELY
  6. DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH WHAT PART OF THE RUT IT IS WHEN GUN OPENS? THIS GUY WAS DERAILING ALSO? I DONT KNOW, MAYBE IM CRAZY.. JETMEC DIFFERENT GUY, NOT ME..
  7. Reported? There are like ten different discussions here about the Rut, Poachers and asking permission to hunt on other pieces of property. Do we have a problem????? I thought I would give this website another try and it seems as though that was a mistake. Always seems like someone is picking a fight with me.. Not many friendly hunters here.. Its a shame too because im a fanatic and love swapping stories.
  8. Sounds to me like alot of good advice.. I dont really have much more to offer, but I do have a suggestion.. Bowhunt.. I think it is the absolute best time to be in the woods.. First two weeks in November are magical and the bucks are cruising lookinh for some tail. Thats when a Grunt call is invaluable.. You can also learn alot bowhunting considering the fact that you need to be close for a kill shot.. I started bow hunting when I was 15 and didnt take a Racked Buck until I was 26 (with the bow). Many mistakes and mishaps in between, but I learned alot about deer. First week of gun is so so for me, but after that I just fill my doe tag. Too much pressure and any buck worth his salt has gone nocturnal in my area. Im also in Columbia County.. Chatham/Kinderhook area. Lots of deer and not many bow hunters which makes for some exciting hunting. Plus if you love to hunt, why not do it as much as possible? Im in the woods in October with a bow and in December with my Muzzeloader.. The deer absolutely hate me.. I think a nice buck is in the near future for you. Dont kick yourself either. I could tell you 50 should have could have would have stories.. Those mistakes and mishaps have made me a deadly camoflauged ninja..
  9. I have been using a Knight and Hale generic grunt call (NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT) and I actually rigged it up to make it sound as Realistic as possible. You would laugh if you saw it because of all the duct tape on it.. I wanted it to sound like a young buck grunt as oppose to the deep grunt that it made.. I have grunted in and shot around 4 bucks with it so far. All 7 and 8 pointers too.. Grunted in tons of young bucks also.
  10. Some nice bucks fellas.. How do I post my pics on here?
  11. Just wanted to say hello to everyone.. Im sure some of you remember me. Hope you all had a great season in 2012.. I managed a doe with the bow and an 8 pointer with the muzzeloader.. Just got back from upstate last night.. Hung some stands and cleaned up the woods a bit.. Had a doe and spike pay me a visit while I was tossing logs.. Saw alot of good sign too, so im thinking its going to be a pretty good year....
  12. Yes sir. Doe tag (DMP) can be used for any season you want. Bow, Rifle or Muzzel. The Bow/Muzzel Antlerless can only be used during bow and then again for the Bow/Muzzeloader season. I would save the Bow either sex for a buck or until the end, because once you use it you will not be able to take a buck with the bow or muzzeloader should the opportunity present itself. Hope that helps. Good Luck!
  13. OK Bubba, thanks for clearing that up for me. Boy have I had it wrong this whole time. I always thought that cows had antlers and bulls were the ones who gave the milk too, but now I know the truth. My man Mr. Vet, I read a comment you posted regarding the AR hunters being against taking does and I wanted to point out that I am a Pro-AR hunter who is totally for harvesting does. Do me a favor and talk to Sits in Stands about the benefit of the Restriction. One more thing I wanted to add: I know Illinois doesnt have AR's in place, but when I hunted there (just one time), I saw 60% more bucks then does and lots of nice bucks too. They had a very healthy deer Population and Harvested 2-3 does for every buck that was taken. Know why? Because they wanted to keep the Buck to Doe Ratio the same or more to keep the competition for Breeding rights and allow the more Dominant bucks to do most if not all of it. Ask Jet about the area he skydives in which is an AR unit. Ask him te quality of bucks he sees there compared to what it use to be. Sits in Stands will also agree. Im done going in Circles. Think im getting booted off this site anyway. Happy Hunting!
