  1. This is a Petition to bring back Peterbfly.. He is a very knowledgable hunter and has a lot of experience. Can really bring a lot to the table and he promises not to talk about Antler Restrictions..
  2. Rubber boots is a good investment. They will not hold scent like other materials and will eliminate the need for you to wring out your wet socks in the woods. Remember scent control is the biggest key! Airing out a sweaty foot in the woods is asking to hear a dear snort at you! If you never had that happen yet. Hope you don't experience it when it's pitch black out like I did!
  3. After a long wait from last season. I'm finally back in the stand. Headed out for the morning sit at 5:30am had a bunch of turkey hanging around for a bit. Then had a doe about 30yds out. Don't think she picked my scent up but she stopped directly across from me looked behind her and started grunting and then left. Round two for the afternoon 3:30pm. I headed over to a stand we set up next to a thick bedding area. In hopes to catch a decent buck just before sun set. Wind started to swirl so I split and headed to the other side of the property over looking a blank angus field (minus the angus) 2 minutes in stand and I have a doe with a fawn trailing behind at about 20 yards ( no go number 1) watched 4 bucks come out from the other side of the field 2 good size spikes, 1 scrapy spike and a very nice 6 pointer. As I'm glassing them I had another doe walk in behind me 30 yds I get set up just about to draw and she has twin fawns with her (no go number 2). Good start to the season so far plenty of action. And will have some does down soon!
  4. I agree with regulator. The earlier you can get in stand the better (preferably before legal shooting time) give yourself enough time not to feel rushed. And take your time getting to your spot and climbing. The less noise the better although you are going to make some. Scent is the biggest key element. You have to be very concious about being scent free they will sniff you out before they even see you! Keep in mind when they bed down there back is to the wind. So they smell what's coming from behind and can see what's coming from the downwind direction.
  5. First I also wish everyone luck. But I have to be honest. On this forum the only thing they are concerned with is there freezer. The last thing they are concerned about is taking mature animals. Just keep droping all the yearlings got to make sure that freezer is jam packed!! If you go against the common opinion on this forum (I have a right to kill yearlings) and even as so much bring up the fact that you support AR's, earn a buck tag or any other form of management which most protect yearlings you will be targeted as a trouble maker and removed from the site.
  6. ill be heading up with a friend of mine on tuesday. set everything about a month ago. just hope we get a n or nw wind so we can pull the camera and see what has been hanging around. if not im sure we will see for our selves when we sit. as there always seems to be tons of action on his property!
  7. I hear ya. Not trying to demoralize or intimidate anyone. It's a tough subject that people have strong views on. What I choose is not necessarily what the next guy does. Simple as that.
  8. So is everyone ready for this Monday??? Anyone got some good bucks or spikes (JOKE) on there hit list?
  9. We are two dif people. We just happen to share the same views.
  10. Wish you all the best of luck this season. And by any means am I saying that to be funny!
  11. post what ever you like. thats what i made the thread for.
  12. you think its crap that some choose to hold off on a 2.5 because in there opinion they want something better. just like some of us think its crap that you'll shoot the first thing that walks in front of you! its all a matter of opinion and thats a simple fact. i think its crap that some of you claim you see all these mature big racked deer and you simply let them walk to shoot a spike i bet you seen bigfoot a few times also. i think the answer more lies with the fact that you simply are not seeing many deer and when you do the urge to kill it is to much for you to handle. but that is just my opinion. not trying to be a wise ass or be little anyone.
