  1. I like Hevishot for turkeys. Sure lead kills, so does steel if you get them close enough. I've been hunting turkeys for a long time and I know that a really close shot is not always possible. Toms get hung up and sometimes, a 50 yard shot is what it takes, especially later in the season. I spend a ton on turkey hunting, another $20 a season is nothing.
  2. I have been shooting my shotgun, getting ready for the upcoming waterfowl season. I shoot Hevi-Metal with a HEVIShot mid-range choke tube. My patterns are phenomenal. At 50 yards, I am getting the majority of my pellets in a 30 inch circle. The nice thing about Hevi-Metal is it's penetrating power at further distances for those late season birds that won't commit. I'm sold on this stuff.
  3. I have found that the tube that works best in both of my guns is HeviShot turkey tube. I get really tight patterns out of it and it knocks the turkeys for a loop out to 55 yards. I also use Hevi-13 with it and tha combination can't be beat. Last fall I shot Magnum Blend and had the same results-a dead Tom at over 50 yards.
