I have to agree with Doc. Hunting has changed alot in last 20 years,I think a lot of it is hunting shows on tv. They make it look so easy, yet they fail to mention that nobody else hunts there, only them.They buy up all the land so no one else can hunt it unless you come up with the money.There is nothing wrong with shooting spikehorns if you are happy with that.Just because you pass up smaller bucks dont make you any better. Some of us dont have the deer available to pass up.I am 64 years old now. I have shot 33 bucks in my lifetime. Yes some where spikehorns, but I still enjoyed the hunt.Try hunting state or public land and see how it is.If you have your own private preserve where no one else hunts then, that changes things quite a bit.
