Desperately seeking a 7m in exchange for my 7R

Been hunting Lyon Brook, haven't seen but two other cars. No deer though, weather is damn warm and the hard mast (beech nuts and acorns) in the woods is so vast there's little reason for deer movement. Still a bit of time left to get a successful kill though.

I am a relatively new hunter and doing my first year of bow hunting. Today I took my son on some state land and we came upon a host of rubs just off the access road, these were new rubs on some small and some thick trees 4 inch diameter. The rubs were kind of in a cluster, with a line formed after leading to a huge bedding area (top of the hill) about 50 yards away. My question is with this knowledge what is the best way to hunt it? I can't find where the food source is yet, my five year old tires easily but I have a good general idea of the trail made on the other side of the access road.

This doesn't happen to be in Norwich NY by any chance does it?

Just got back from Wal Mart WITHOUT my 7M DMP somehow I drew the short straw so looks l Ike ill do the beaver meadows DMAP this year and start scouting some prospects in 7R (anyone have any places they know of there)

Beaver Meadows offers special DMAP for that section of woods only, read all about it here http://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/66900.html it's a nice easy procedure.

Not too far at all from where I am. I find our state land to be not too crowded which is decent. Ever take advantage of Beaver Meadows DMP?

Hi all. I'm new to the forum but not hunting, though this will be my first year with a bow. I love in 7M and hunt both New Michigan state forest and the Pharsalia WMA, as well as some private land/farms in 7P and my family camp in 4W (now with AR).
