    My thoughts on firewood; how about its alot of friggin work.

    I use it for outdoor cooking not for heat. I suppose I could get a four dog but theres enough to do. Time and expense, theres not time saved but im less dependant on propane. Lets not add the cost of a 22ton splitter because I love that thing. Plan on the cost of what two chain & maybe a bar every year. Then theres the bar oil, the mix etc.

    I am sure people that use firewood for heat need to be smart about what woods they burn. Timewise id say were talking about last years jazz. Where I can bend that rule.

    Started off at loading docks at some place that was attached to a ship. Garage style doors you pull down with a chain and all. The seas picked up with light green 5' waves crashing into the bays. Doors woulnt shut all the way so the Cheif called down and said tberes an override switch in the galley. Yeah, the kitchen. So off I go through the catwalks like something out of call of duty into the galley, only theres not one but three unlabled switches. So I volunteered 3 guys and we managed to get the doors shut while sliding around the garage bays In salt water and oil. Then the Cheif says to get some dry clothes and take a rest. Scene switches to my cabin I guess but its 3rd person view. People are talking about getting something done dont know what because im wrapped up next to my bunk on the floor in my sleeping bag with a pipe wrench and a shotgun. My ex wife was there, topless.

    I would suggest Tioghnioga, but the last time I was there I didn't like what I saw.

    They turned part of the north side into a hiking trail complete with markers & boxes. Where it was logged is now an open swampy brush thorn #$&^ mess.

    Well, hung up by the hind quarters sure makes them easier to clean / process. If a hanging station is not available then I use a folds out processing table so I don't bend my back.

    you could not shower for 3 weeks, rub Limburger cheese all over you hunting clothes,gargle with beer and sit in your stand taking a leak while smoking a cigar.... if you are playing the wind right. My 3 biggest bucks were taken with a cigarette in my hands, besides a bunch of others. They can always come in where we don't expect them but there is NO such thing as being scent free.

    Well, something made by Budweiser maybe. But I wouldn't waste a Labbatts like that. ;)

    Why take chances on spooking game. I try and fuel up the day before same idea behind ventalation in the camper to minimize food oders.

    Works for me I dont burn time on what others think about that.
